Your first MM7 party
Your first MM7 party
Fond memories ensue.
I will never forget my first batch of party members, even their names, though it's been a good ... 9 years or so.
Knight - Black haired Dwarf - "Lord Matt"
Knight - Grey haired Dwarf - "King Shawn"
Paladin - Deep voiced Goblin - "Master Pat"
Ranger - Blond Dwarf(?) - "Lady Aleshia"
Ironically enough, the names are after the people I played the game with in my youth -- we managed to turn MM7 into a multiplayer in a very crude way.
EDIT: I still consider MM7 to be the greatest game of all time, although when I try to convince others ... usually the graphics debate gets in the way

I also played MM7 before any other MM games (MM8, MM6 and MM1 for a while).
I was too young to make up any interesting names (it was October 2001 when I first played MM7 and my English was even worse back then) and my party was: Knight Zoltan (Goblin), Monk Roderick (Human), Cleric Serena (Dwarf) and Sorcerer Alexis (Elf).
Why did I choose Monk? Just because a game mazagine the game was covermounted (I hope you know what I mean) to said he'll be the best fighter after some time playing and training. But I'm not too much convinced about that...
And I also remember the magazine from September saying MM7 is going to be in the next edition in October and me thinking whether buy it or not. But finally, I've made the right decision. :-)

Don't remember any of my first parties. But I remember some feelings of the first time. It was so different
My patches: MM6 MM7 MM8. MMExtension. Tools. Also, I love Knytt Stories and Knytt Underground. I'm also known as sergroj.
I used the "clasic" party at my first MnM 7 experience:
Goblin Knight (Male)
Human Thief (Male)
Dwarf Priest (Female)
Elf Sorcerer (Female)
Is the easiest combination I think. I have finished the game
after with more combinations ofc, and 1 attempt for solo-mode
(Druid), was boring thougt the solo

Every man dies...
Every beast dies...
Only heroes live forever!

Re: Your first MM7 party
I can't honestly say I remember my characters names, but I'm pretty sure I went with the default party (Goblin Knight, Human Thief, Dwarf Priest, and Elf Sorcerer).Matt.J wrote:I will never forget my first batch of party members, even their names, though it's been a good ... 9 years or so.
I just started a new game, actually.
Agerakei, the Female Goblin Knight
Taqifa, the Female Human Thief
Branogh, the Male Dwarf Druid
Sunrain, the Female Elf Sorcerer
I put a lot of thought into how I wanted to structure my party this time around. I wanted a druid for GM Alchemy, and I initially considered swapping out a sorcerer to make room, but then I realized that I wouldn't have access to Lloyd's Beacon, which made it a non-starter.
Heh. I first played it during my sophomore year at college. There were three of us playing it at the same time, and we had a friendly competition to see which of us could finish it first. I don't remember who "won," but I know that I went through the evil ending, while my friend/roommate went through the good ending.Ironically enough, the names are after the people I played the game with in my youth -- we managed to turn MM7 into a multiplayer in a very crude way.
I'm torn. MM7 was the first Might and Magic game I played, and I still love the skill system. I also really like MM6, but since I played that after its sequel, a number of interface limitations sort of bug me about it. Things like "turn on exit" and the lack of auto-run annoy me (thankfully both fixed in GrayFace's patch), or the inability to manage inventories while in a store. But I prefer the story to MM6, and I think the dungeon design is probably the best in the entire series. On the other hand, I think the overworld design in MM7 is much better than in MM6, so that's a bit of a wash, I guess.EDIT: I still consider MM7 to be the greatest game of all time, although when I try to convince others ... usually the graphics debate gets in the way
And then there's World of Xeen.... Oh, I can't decide!
