Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. I just got that stupid songs in my head, and I always found it stupid when they asked why they changed it.

Anyway, it's been almost 600 years, it's not something you should get mad over.

I didn't get mad over something that happened 553 years ago, but over something that happened about an hour ago, i.e. your post! The truth is we didn't change it's name, at that time it was Stambul for us and became Istanbul in like 4 centuries.
Anyway, I believe you were not trying to offend anyone. Thanks for your soothing reply...
