Game: Seek, Find, Post - Season 7
Wildbear, the latter one is the one I was looking for. The former is the largest one ever built by a single person. The latter is built (and is continue to be built) by a single town. They add to it in a festival every year. It is the the Largest Ball of Twine in the World and it's located in Cawker, Kansas (I think it's Kansas). The first one is in Minnesota.
You're up! (The rubber band guess obviously wasn't too far from the mark!)

"What men are poets who can speak of Jupiter if he were like a man, but if he is an immense spinning sphere of methane and ammonia must be silent?" - Richard P. Feynman
That's what I thought since it's the only one that is still growing, but I prefered to use my 3 guesses, just in case
Ok, next one. Hurry up guys and ladies, it's really easy.
Shape: Probably potato-shaped
Size: 0.5 to 1.2km
Weight: est. ~300,000,000 tons
Color: Probably grey/brown
Defining Characteristic: First at Torino
Real pics available but illustrations accepted

Spiritu Insanum
I'm thinking the asteroid 2004 VD17, which is the highest rated asteroid on the Torino scale (which until now I hadn't heard of)
That was a sketch I think. The best picture I could find is:
By all means, if you know where it is in that picture, please let me know.

Nice white spots you found here Mr C !
If you don't know where it is you don't get the points !
Well, actually I have no idea, my best guess is that it's the trail (it's moving after all).
It's the trail at the top on this one:
Now one thing is sure, in 2102, we'll all be dead!
The NASA has this page about it: http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/risk/2004vd17.html
There's a java demo of its orbit.
Scores:
Wildbear: 15
Corribus: 7
Veldrynus: 6
Sir William S Titan: Playing with rubber bands to prove he's right
Others: 0

Ok. Here's a new one:
Shape: Pretty complex. The most striking part is long and narrow and sticks right up into the air.
Color: Part is light green; another part is dark purplish red
Dimensions: Can be as tall as 3 meters, or even taller.
Weight: I couldn't find a weight, so I'll give two defining characteristics instead.
Defining Characteristic #1: People will travel far to see one - but only on the rare period of a few days when it does what it is famous for.
Defining Characteristic #2: I'm sure Ethric or any other self-respecting lich would love to have one.

Wow that was quick. You're right. For those who don't know, this largest flower in the world (well, botanically it's actually a collection of flowers) is most famous for its horrid smell, which is supposedly very similar to that of rotting flesh. It has thus earned the nickname "The Corpse Flower". I've never seen one in person, so I can't verify this.

Shape: Complex, the most important part must be very sharp
Size: Varies, but in the range 10^-3 to 10 m^3 or so depending on what it's used for.
Weight: Varies with size. Usually stands on something very heavy.
Color: None specific.
Defining characteristic: Mustn't be shaky.

Well I guess you can't get more precise than a range of four orders of magnitude.Gaidal Cain wrote: Size: Varies, but in the range 10^-3 to 10 m^3 or so depending on what it's used for.

A Gigantic Killer Razorblade
This one has blood on it. Blood of thousands of people, maybe animals too. If you see it, you should run. NEVER touch it !

Veldryn 15:15 And Vel found a dirty old jawbone of a walrus and put forth his hand, and took it, and in his unholy rage, he slew thirty four thousand men and children therewith.
