No real surprise. Those girls are also less attractive nerds who HAVE to settle for guys of similar qualities.Borsuc wrote:Don't worry you'd be surprised how many girls like nerds

Pure stereotype propaganda. You also believe in the blonde hair in chicks is inversely proportional to IQ and "OMG I freak out" factor?

Nope. That stereotype was created by the same nerds who have no chance of dating those (hot) blondes.Borsuc wrote:Pure stereotype propaganda. You also believe in the blonde hair in chicks is inversely proportional to IQ and "OMG I freak out" factor?
"Yeah, she looks good, but not smart enough for me, the smart guy."

I was watching the most recent Rambo movie, which wasn't that bad as far as actions movies go, except...
...one thing I've noticed in the last few years is an annoying tendency in "bloody" action movies to use CGI to enhance the carnage. I.e., using CGI to increase the amount of blood that sprays from a gunshot, for example. And you know what, it just doesn't look very realistic.

Realistic would actually require some effort (looking at real wounds etc.)... we can't have that.

Joonas at HC said that so much blood is very realCorribus wrote:And you know what, it just doesn't look very realistic.

No, I don't mean that it's not realistic that there's so much blood coming from a gunshot wound (maybe there is; how do I know?). What I'm saying is that the actual blood effect doesn't look real. You can easily tell it's CGI, which spoils the whole thing.Borsuc wrote:Joonas at HC said that so much blood is very realCorribus wrote:And you know what, it just doesn't look very realistic.
People obviously made very violent (convincingly so) movies before CGI became so heavily relied upon. So, is it just cheaper to do CGI? I guess so.

With that it's perfectly clear now and I agree. I can usually discern many of the CGI effects, especially if it's supposed to animate some kind of character (like a creature for example). The movement is just... too smooth, without any kind of "life" so to speak.

Well, there was the same problem, as I mentioned above, in the new Indiana Jones movie. CGI was just not convincing, and it completely spoiled what could have been otherwise great scenes. They didn't have to do CGI in the last IJ movies, why did they have to do it here?
Just because it's done with a computer, doesn't mean it's better.

Saw the first hour or so of Murder by Death and Clue... why don't they make funny movies like that anymore?!

I didn't see it, but someone at HC just posted that he saw it today, and he said it sucked. Of course, tastes differ probably, so you could find it good.
No matter how powerful one becomes, there is always someone stronger. That's why I'm in a constant pursuit of power, so I can be prepared when an enemy tries to take advantage of me.

Duh I too, was weaned by a Bond series from my child age. Perhaps here would be a time to relook GitS? This is the only thing what permanently outmatch everything. Even legacy of Bond.

I watched wanted, not sure what I should say. This has gotta be the joke of the year, it's so cheesy, funny and action-packed that it sucks yet you like it Shallow but fun.

I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.
