Blue (and white) LEDs really aren't that rare anymore. Maybe in the early 90s, but you can get them fairly efficiently in virtually any color now.

Xmas sprinkles was better. B-)

Also it didn't look terribly comfortable! Anyway here's my first stab at one:

Shape: Complex; from above, roughly oval.
Size: 26x22x12 mm (roughly)
Weight: a smidgen over 9.1 grams
Colors: Blue
Defining Characteristic: It can produce light.

Sorry, not what I was thinking of. This is something unique and it possesses no other colors besides a shade of blue. (Although, it is funny how you can find other things that seem to exactly match the clues and are totally different than what you had in mind.. :) )

OK I've added another piece of information as a hint:

Shape: Complex; from above, roughly oval.
Size: 26x22x12 mm (roughly)
Weight: a smidgen over 9.1 grams
Colors: Blue (no other colors)
Defining Characteristic: It can produce light.
Defining Characteristic #2: There are those who believe it's cursed.

Today I learned blue diamonds glow after ultraviolet exposure. Really interesting. Too bad I don't have any at home :(

I believe if you hook them up to a set of electrodes, they will also exhibit luminescence, using a methodology similar to that which an LED uses.

Everything glows when you set it on fire. ;)

Question to Kalah: May you explain this part of the rule?
"If somebody guesses your object within 24 hours, you get one point. If not, you get two and post a new object."
If nobody found the answer after the first 24 hours a hint is posted, but here it is written that right after that 24h limit you post another object, which makes the hint useless... That is not logical, it should be 1 point after 24 hours and 2 after 48 when nobody found the answer.

Still looking for an object...

Um... right.

I just copied from the old forum... apparently didn't bother checking for logics.. :ashamed:
