HoMM I, followed by HoMM IV.

I really love the blue of the Azure Dragon but uses the same bland model as the Crystal and Rust Dragons. I have to go with the Mega Dragon for detail and overall quality of the model, followed closely by the Azure and the H1 Dragon. I would have liked to have seen the Fairie Dragon from HIV on here although it wouldn't have changed my vote.

All are ugly as hell. The graphic designers must've been drunk or something or, "Hey, know what would be totally awesome?" "Another dragon??" "HELL YEAH! THOU ART BRILLIANT!"

Voted for the King of the Dragons, ruler of the Dragon Utopia, the mighty Azure Dragon. "Fear is the Azure's middle name". How did you know? The beast is the latest and the greatest of them all!

H1 Dragon: I haven't tried H1 which means I have no comment.
H3 WoG Dragon: Recoloured Black Dragon? Impressive...
H3 Rust Dragon: Overall a great unit. Natural disrupting ray
makes the beast even more powerful.

H4 Mega Dragon: Must have been invented after a serious all night-partying during the dying days of 3DO. As great a name for the unit as Spazz Maticus, the Sorcerer King from WoW. Well done, folks... A drunken college student could easily come up with better names than these two.

EDIT: The Azure lookie fine, me votie for the nice appearance

I'd have to go with the Mega Dragon. It looks great, the detail outshines the others. Shame about the awful name.

I like the looks of the rust dragon, so it got my vote. At first i wanted to vote for the mega dragon, but what dragon can't fly!!!

And the fire dragon lineup from HoMM V...

And Yurian, for the umpteenth time, these polls are about the looks, not the characteristics. If it were about that, where the heck would the point be in having a poll that pits a 200 hp dragon against a 1000 hp one? Gee-eez.

Then you should mention that in post #1 because most polls are about both.

Anyway, my vote goes for the Megadragon. I hate his name, but he looks great.
I am back and ready to... ready to... post things.

@Metathron

I agree with Akul that the author of the original post didn't mention that making a remark about the units' stats and/or an overall analyzes was forbidden. I also wish to let it be known that in my opinion how the unit looks, its appearance, is indeed about characteristics as well. You may not like it but this I tell you for the first and not the umpteenth time.

Sincerally,

Megadragon has sure impressive model among its h4 fellows, as well it's awesome unit itself. If you'd ask which is my favourite I wouldn't hesitate to pick it.

But as for the most beautiful, I cannot explain why, but Darkness Dragon got my vote. It looks just GOOD

I don't get why the name "Megadragon" is so awful ;|
I voted H4 :D
I like the H1 dragon too but it seems a bit too childish for my taste. Looks like a cute baby dragon.

Actually the Megadragon is a classic boss in Might and Magic...

In Might and Magic II : http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=RPwUDfrQGTU

In World of Xeen : http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=GllBDePjSyo

In Might and Magic VII : http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=Ubhl3jqwLLA

He's probably in other games too...

There are also dinosaurs in Might and Magic II-III. Some sort of Megadragon :D Megadragon in M&M2 used dinosaur's model :)

What a rationale. No need to comment any further. :applause:

A lot of people seem to regard the HoMM I style as childish. However, I don't think it is childish at all, but quirky and does not take itself too seriously. Too bad not many people recognize that.
