Yet another vote for Aislinn. In the words of UHO:

"Meteor Shower is just hands down the best all around damage spell in the game and it's nice to be guaranteed to have it. "

Fully agreed. This summs up what I had in mind about the said necromancer and her dreaded specialty.

Don't worry if things are going badly today. They will be much worse tomorrow.

Voted: Thant. Really like him, dont know why. His spell/special is nice too. With other towns i usually like heroes with no useless skills, but i like thant too much! :)
They ride in a single file, to hide their numbers.

I don't mind Mysticsm that much, it's great at low levels and for long journies. And especially as Necromancers are lowish in terms of picking up knowledge (behind 5 other magic heroes?), which cuts back the lead of Intelligence a little.

If Resurrection v Meteor Shower was a close call, then Animate Dead would be a clear winner 5 points cheaper than Resurrection.

Besides, if you are going to play Necropolis, might as well enjoy its uniqueness and abuse their special spells and necromancy.

Specialization + Advanced Necromancy can be fun, but skeletons can be hard to manage and Necromancy needs a bit more than 25% (expert 15% + the town's 10%) to get going. And you need to win the fights first.

So Thant it is for me.

Aislinn provides a really good early-game bonus, which protects you from rushes if you're turtling, or helps y ou rush your enemies.

I usually pick the skeleton guy with a gold bonus, because I'm greedy, though.

Vidomina, because I appreciate the extra undead she brings back, and I like her looks as my primary hero.
