I'm only inspired to receive my new pc, which should be today .... then it just needs the old drive SATA'd up, reinstall of XP, and then we're golden!

which doesn't help me at all with work inspiration

You don't have nLite ready to go fast XP install?
(literally such thing can save you few days of installation - it can integrate drivers (or here exists even a better one), all settings, registry and installed programs.)

I'm trying to freshen ip on my typing skills, so I'm writing this without looking at the keyboard. Anty mistakes that may pop up is probbably due to tjat. I was once told that if I wrote in proper touch-typing fashibn I might be able to do 100 wrods a minute, since I 'm really quick on my fingers.

You should do at least 120 Kalah!
(In your best times and without typos)

Professionals are writing much faster, it's almost always going over 200 characters per minute to , eee, 600 ...800.
(Excuse me, I started to feeling mildly nausea.)

That's why I use custom keyboard (map). Everything is where I set it.

It's also quite a nice idea to work only on the same keyboards (layout) home and in the job. I remember that in the school thousand yrs ago we had worse ones than I had in home. And it was, eek, eek. ;)

People are often surprised what all can cause longer enter, moved slash, no insert...

There's truth to the saying, "When it rains, it pours." You'd think that completely destroying your car in an accident would be the low point of your week. Well, tonight the septic tank in our basement backed up and flooded the whole basement.
