Morale & Luck!?

Unread postby Bahototh » 07 Jan 2008, 14:22

From what I understand, (playing TotE) Morale and Luck goes to 10 now?
Or is that just for special occasions?

yes, but it doesn't affect above 5, but let's say you got 9 morale and the opponent does howl of terror (-6morale) you'll still have 3 :-D

Luck and Morale can be even more than ten, but as it has been said, the effect won't get bigger after five.

It happend to me to have 12 morale!
So if you have more than 5 morale then it act like 5(that means 25% chance?)

I'm pretty certain that 5 = 50%.

Can someone explain me what morale does? It lets you get your turns faster right? Does it do anything else?

It also matters if your hero has the Retribution perk (in attack). ON a side note, I think morale above 5 might affect this, I had a morale of 9 and was doing ungodly damage with tiny stacks.

Retribution = +5% bonus dmg / morale level

But aside from that, it's jsut that when it triggers, that creature's next turn comes faster, also, if you have the perks for it (from the Morale tree) this can move your hero up, or give your Orc units more blood rage.

Necros can use leadership for diplomacy...with there shrine of netherworld they get more free units. And with Herald of death you even dont need shrine of netherworld.

Necros still get Morale perks, and it's somewhat useful if you have other faction's units in your army, for some reason.

Diplomacy + Herald of death can be pretty handy.

It's pure crap. Barbarians don't get magic resistance, but magic protection which is totally useless against the dreaded Dark spells.

Unread postby cristycoiu » 14 Jan 2008, 09:22

yes, there are some benefits for morale...like u said...if u have other units in your army and herald of death of course....BUT....the main purpose of the skill is completly useless for undead... "living" units get morale bonus-VERY usefull..undead no...

Sure, but the bonus of Herald of Death may easily outshine the morale bonus for living factions.

But how much can you use it? It's not like there are a lot of creatures who want to join your army anyway.

Never tried that skill, I thought it sucked because what's the use of lowering the cost you have to pay if noone is willing to join your army.

Just try it once, on a large map at least. The result will be... great... in numbers B-)
