Gotta get in the game first. Then you gotta play to win the game. Do I need to post that link again?

Ah man. I hope this doesn't turn into a dating rpg.

"Sun is feeling depressed about the loss of her close friend Jade."

Stefan should:

A) Say something positive.
B) Give her a present.
C) Kiss her.
D) Give her a dead squirrel and say "Unlike this squirrel, my love for you will never die."

We don't need a Japanese dating rpg.

Besides, the romances are handled well. Not like you do anything really inappropriate with Sun and my characters are married. Since I have control over both Omega and Topaz, I don't plan to get all lovy-dovy anyways. That'd just be weird.

it most certainly would, well it's inappropriate to some I'd guess, but it's not like there's details floating around :)

@OD
Are you sure? I think you guys are wasting your love if you don't go lovey-dovey.

Love is unpredictable. Scripting how it would pan out for myself feels like I'm cheating.

There are undertones, so don't worry. Sacrificing everything to make sure your loved one is safe is pretty romantic.

The sacrifice part or the undertones part?

I actually don't get the undertone part but I like to know in both aspects.

@ OD :D

Ceres, I am what I am

running a "love story" where you play both parts seems a little weird to me to say the very least

Well, currently my love life is on hold. After a few unplesant experiences in law school, I figured it'd be best to get through school and then start looking again. That way I'll be employed, making money, and much happier.

As for the undertones, the subtle signs of affection, those are present in every healthy relationship I think. Take my Opa for example. He never used the word "love" or hugged anybody, which makes me wonder how my mother was conceived. (That's a lie. The mere thought of that is enough to cause shivers.... ugh....) But despite his cool exterior, he showed affection towards his loved ones all the time, whether it be a simple card, a phone call, or always bringing wine to my parents. Now that he's dead, they had to start buying their own wine again. :D Anyways, that's how I'm handling the relationship with Omega and Topaz. You know they've been through a horrible ordeal, and now they are just happy to be together. Right now, while he's out casting a spell outside of Frosthold, she's rustling up some food and pelts to keep him warm. Subtle signs of affection indeed. And for a game, I think such displays of affection are appropriate. So while they aren't all-over eachother doesn't mean they aren't in love. They just are a little more private with their displays.

As to sacrifice, that's just part of love. If you love someone, you'll do everything you can to protect that person (within reason of course).

@stefan
I see, but for me I think, writing a book and running an RPG is the same.

@OD
That is perfect! So romantic! I bet your future girlfriend/wife will be lucky to have you.
