Awesome, I've never played WoG, but this really helps to make it much more appealing to me..

Ah, they have a team bringing the Forge back. That's interesting.

I don't care much for the warcraft town. It's a nice idea and well-implemented, but let's keep H3 to itself.

So are they both mods just like WoG? I don't feel like adding commanders and units for them, really, but I suppose when I finish everything on H3 in the near future, I might be board, so I might get around to adding them to the current roster. We'll have to see.

theres no point, as there is no point adding bastion units - none of them are really ready. Forge development seems especially stagnant. the images & stats & abilities for all of them are still changing.

Yes, but the Bastion will definitely be out soon. The WoG 3.59 patch is almost done.

And no one really cares about the Forge anyway. :)

Do not worry, we were not gone anywhere. We continue to work.
You are right, the site for a long time was not updated, but we have shown almost all. The remained part of work is completion and finishing of some moments.
The Bastion and 3.59 most likely will be ready this year, and probably - soon
"will most likely be ready this year" sounds scary...

as of Forge, i agree. conflux was cheap & bad town idea, but Forge would have probably ruined the whole ingame atmosphere.

But cyber zombies were such a great idea.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

i think the forge town is pretty cool but i agree with vhilhu that it wud've ruined the game's atmosphere. if they were gonna make a game with forge it should be name "Cyborgs with Guns and Lasers" hehe

The Bastion will be a desert town. Along the theme of, say, Ancient Egypt. Myself, I would rather see a Water Town and, say, a Drow town.

A drow town? Do we need another Heroes 5 dungeon?
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

In factuality, we on the WoG Team came up with the idea even before H5 came out! :)

So how is 3.59 coming? I hear it's going to be a big one.

It really all depends on when Slava gets back to doing the thing he does so well.
And yes, it will be huge. Everything you heard is true and every rumour you may of heard is true. It will be the last version to be sure. But, after it's released (Whenever that will be) there will be no need for a version after that. It'll go as far as we can take it.
What you may see after the final version is released (Whenever that will be) more groups and sites dedicated to everything from Towns, scripts, spells, artifacts, creatures, almost anything you could imagine pertaining to H3/WoG. At least this is what I think will happen.

Are you going to be changing/improving/recreating alot of things you already made in earlier versions of WoG?

The carefully best chosen word would be improving.
"We made it!"

Improvements are already in development through the scripters visions. As far as adding all the new stuff, like the towns and so on, we need Slava for that, as he holds the key to get into his source.
I still believe that Slava has'nt forgotten WoG. It's what got him noticed in his professional programming career. He will return, but, of course, it's a question of when. But for now, he deserves doing what he's doing IMO. A true unselfish Hero fan could'nt agree more. :)

Conflux isn't cheap and redundant IMO, but any unit with spell resistance or immunity is a royal PITA because it will resist vital friendly spells

ETA: In regular Heroes 3, I meant, not WoG
