Version 3.0 Skill Wheel

Unread postby Angelspit » 28 Sep 2007, 02:05

<img src="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/images ... lwheel.jpg" align=right vspace=10 hspace=10>All five versions of the Skill Wheel (<a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/520">English</a>, <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/646">French</a>, <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/645">German</a>, <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/647">Italian</a> and <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/648">Spanish</a>) have been updated based on version 3.0 of Heroes V, which is the release number of the Tribes of the East expansion. Their author Aurelain describes the various changes and improvements:

<li>a major overhaul of the skill system, in accordance with the ToE expansion. That means a lot of the skills that were previously available only to a certain race are now accessible to multiple races;

<li>addition of the Barbarian Skillwheel;

<li>addition of Heroes. You can choose the specific heroes as templates, so their native skills don't interfere with the skill count. Plus the fact that you get the Hero description, which is sorely missed in the in-game interface (Hero selection screen);

<li>addition of helpful tips from the Manual. Thanks to the Manual Team, I could incorporate the comments they made about inner workings of the game. Very useful, both for the skills and the Hero Specialities;

<li>several design enhancements.

The downloadable executables are not ready yet (at the moment, the pages still link to the previous versions). Aurelain will make them available, but until them please post your feedback and possible corrections.

Absolutely brilliant... Anyone know if the in-game (mod) version will be available at the same time for downloading??

It's always nice to get updates...

BTW, the d/l version is still at 2.1...

I prefer the older wheel - not at all happy with the unlocked skills.

Anyway, one thing I am happy about are the Shatter skills; they do not seem nearly as threatening as I thought they would be. They will make life harder for casters, but higher level ones won't break much of a sweat when faced with these abilities.

Excellant work Aurelain. I don't know how many times I used the old one and I look forward to using this one.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

The executables can be found at the bottom of each page. You might need to rename the files if you plan to use more than one (English and French for instance).

Great, good work Aurelain B-)
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

How do I make sure the old Sill Wheel App is completely uninstalled/removed?

You just delete the old Skillwheel, michiganjf. It's a plain executable, with no interaction with your system.

This is so essential it definitely should have been part of the game. UBI should pay you for this.

There some bugs on the spanish skillwheel, inherited from previous versions. I told him which are they some time ago, but I'll send them to him once again, anyway.
