New Mods for Skills and Textures

Unread postby Angelspit » 11 Sep 2007, 14:58

<img src="/images/news/h5Sandro.jpg" align=right vspace=10 hspace=10>Grail Quest sent me two mods that work with versions 1.5 (basic game) and 2.1 (Hammers of Fate). Each Zip file contains the usual .h5m file and a very well documented readme:

<li><a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/homm5/mods/Rules - Skills Overhaul (HOF).zip">Skills Overhaul</a>: "drastically changes Faction Ultimate Skill requirements and rearranges many skills."

<li><a href=https://www.celestialheavens.com/homm5/mods/Campaign - Heroes - Starting Skill Changes.zip">Campaign Heroes Starting Skill Changes</a>: "This mod changes the starting skills of the main playable characters in the campaign. It aims to reduce the selectable skills as much as possible, thus expanding development possibilities."

Also, modder psatkha points to two upgrades of his mods at Elrath:

<li>The <a href="/http://deep.phpwebhosting.com/~paradox/ ... Necropolis Heroes mod</a> changes the look of the undead heroes using existing creature or hero textures. The results are quite impressive.

<li>The <a href="/http://deep.phpwebhosting.com/~paradox/ ... 796">Haven Heroes mod</a> does something similar for the knights, this time with color customization and minor texture changes. Follow the links to check out examples of the changes.

Before you install a mod, pay close attention to the installation instructions since some prerequisites must be met.

I remember them from Elrath.com though I had never see a campaign heroes mod :) Kudos!
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

The link for the Campaign Heroes Skill mod doesn't work.

Lol! Sandro looks freaked out, nice attempt...but all those Isabel clones, couldnt they use the model in the previous Picture Of The Day?

Anyway this looks great, gives more personality to the heroes. And theres alot of those Knights, I didnt even know about...especially not the last one :p Dwarves would be nice to see...and elves.
