Clive Barker's Jericho

Unread postby Sgt_BFG » 24 Jun 2007, 17:59

Clive Barker is back with a new game, and this is supposedly his goriest game ever :-D

This game features squad based gameplay, and takes place in the present/very near future.

Clive Barker is an excellent horror writter and the experience
I ilive throught Undying(his previous pc game) was perfect!
I am not fun of squad based/action games but the fact that
we are speaking for CB make me w8 this game with many
hopes! I'll check it out for sure.

Screw gory, what made Undying great was the atmosphere, not the blood. Those screens don't make me very hopeful. But we'll see.

Was too little action in Undying. Maybe this will be better :-D

Undying was one of THE best single player FPSes I've ever played (and I played and still play a lot of shooters). Definitely on my top list, and I can't wait for Jericho either.

Sooooo....anyone play the demo? It looks like it's gonna be one hell of a game, I think the special powers (e.g. telekinesis) of each member are especially intriguing.

However, I had to yank the resolution down to 800x600 and put every other option to low and still it was choppy. But don't worry, that's just because my graphic card sucks. :(

TBH I was a bit dissapointed with the demo. Great visuals, but I never felt scared.

I think the sense that you got teammates covering your ass really screws the atmosphere up.

Judging by the first reviews, it looks like this game is gonna be pretty mediocre. Waaaaaah... :(

Ever since i heard you had teammates i realised it was not going to be like Undying. I loved that feel when you wanted to run in a corner and desperatley shotting everything that moves. I can imagine how many times i'll see game over in Jericho because i did not protect my teammates and they got killed by smthing.

I've tried demo. It sucks. I honestly have no idea what Clive Barker has to do with the game. Its plain shoot&run action, no diaries no dialogs ..
