Bastion, the name for the orc town?

Unread postby Orfinn » 11 Jun 2007, 19:26

Ok, I hope I havent overlooked a similar thread now...
But heres something interesting from HC

http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.p ... enumber=56

Close to the middle of the page. May the new town name for the Orcs really be Bastion? I like it very much and I hope it will be the final name. As a member said on that page, Stronghold would be alot more fitting for The Free Cities Of The East :)

What do you folks think about the town name?

I think Bastion will do. Good name for a warrior city.
Where exactly does the rainbow end?

Sure, if you want death threats in the mail. It's always been STRONGHOLD for the barbarian orcs....

I can confirm it is bastion:

Look at the poll question on the lower lefthand side.

What's the big deal? They are synonyms.

Was it an equally big deal when they stopped calling it the Sorceress castle from h 1 and h 2 and started calling it Rampart in h 3?

Doesn't bother me a bit. It's just a faction name after all.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

Nah bastion is just as fine. I'll admit I was used to stronghold though...
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

The stronghold should be in the mountains (like stonehelm) not in the steppes.

Name doesn't matter as it's as good as Stronghold. (Has that blackknight guy from the official forums started a fuss over this now?)

Ubival need to learn how to deal with lifeless fat nerds if it wants to keep using the M&M licence ;)

But Homm is turn-based, so you definetly risk to get fat like a plague zombie... or like the guy who appears after casting the forgetfullness spell :D

You're right, but other synonyms are citadel,fortress,keep... So in Heroes it's just a matter of finesse

But I think it's ok to call it Bastion, since my original Fortress got lost anyway...
