Beer takes some time to grow on a person and I can feel the urge to drink a beer growing in me.

Had a brew tonight myself. Blue Moon, nothing too crazy but nice paired with a burger and salad.

I never really got into Blue Moon. A bit too light for my tastes.

As for me, I'm currently drinking a Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout. An odd choice for summer but I'm in serious need of a restock myself.

Stouts are an unsual choice for summer, Ill give you that, but I never really got into summer wheat bears. If I had to pick my favorite type of beer style for summer, I'd say an ESB.

Can't say I've ever had one of those before. Is it made in Australia?

I don't have a favorite for a specific occasion. Any type of beer is good on any occasion! :-D

Speaking of stouts, I have a few Old Rasputins begging to be enjoyed. I might have to crack one open this evening.

I meant style more than brand, but I get your point. :)

Stella's good. They even serve that at the ballpark.

My dad calls the light stuff Lawnmower Beer - the kind that quenches the thirst when you get done mowing the lawn. I call it a softball beer. A summer brew should be lighter and typically tastes a little watered down since it's supposed to be able to quench your thirst on a hot summer day, which also means refilling your body with the vital fluids that you burn through in the summer.

A stoudt drinker will get headaches and unlike some people who like a beer and glass of water on the side... I'd rather have a beer with a beer on the side.

This is where the standard MACRO brews come back into my area... Even the dreaded budweiser is on my "can do" list - though I'd be sober before drinking LITE or Coors Light.

Give me an Amstel, Yuengling, or Pete's Wicked Summer...

Tis the season for Pilsners and Lagers!

And yes, I'll drink Corona at the beach!

My Summer To Do List includes...

Golden Shower (Dogfish) - It's a double-pilsner (more malt, more bitter, more alcohol). Not to mention that Dogfish always has cool artwork and I can't wait to see what they did with this one... ought to be a pisser!

Heavy Seas - Small Craft Warning (Über Pils) (Clipper City) - Also a double pilser from Clipper City - Got really good reviews.

Sunrise Weiss (Victory) - Not a big Hefe fan here but reviews mentioned a banana hint and praised it so I'll make this the Hefe on my list.

Sunshine Pils (Tröegs) - I am a big fan of Tröegs and it is summer, so a pilsner should be on the list.

29,035-Ft. Double IPA and Aviator Amber Lager (Dominion) - Only available at the Brewery in Ashburn, VA - but that's why it;s on my list. I need a field trip!

I am soooooooo thirsty!
