GotP & LotA

Unread postby Thelonious » 04 Jun 2007, 12:54

Quick question,

I know these aren't related in anyway that we know of (yet) but will GotP and LotA be linked/wll one feature the other mod?

Was just wondering as they are both mods bringing back old heroes.

I don't think so. LotA is a campaign with modded features rather than a mod. Most of the changes are cosmetic ones (textures, portraits and so on) or map-specific (the "special towns") and do not affect the gameplay on a huge scale like GotP.

It is also story-driven and meant to be a possible continuation of HIV story (and the "old" MM universe as well). GotP chose to feature the old heroes in another timeline (i.e. Gelu died during the Reckoning, hence he won't appear in LotA, but he will in GotP)

Then I'd suggest adding LotA to GotP; as one of the campaigns.

Thanks for the explanation!

There would be conflicts between our modded files if we were doing so. And I prefer LotA to stay a "stand-alone" H5-HoF campaign anyway.

Now if Nival could release the campaign editor for HoF...

Ah, ok, I had no idea; I'm not a real programmer anyways, I just seem to understand the H4 mapeditor and some other (useless) stuff so I had no idea that the mods could conflict with each other.
