After playing Hammers of Fate, I still find the Dungeon to be my least favorite. I was quite annoyed to discover the "mixed" campaign was a Dunegon campaign. The whole "dark elves who are into bondage and torture" thing just annoys me to no end.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

I LOVE DUNGEON!
HAHA Bondage and Torture what a porno
I love how the Dungeon's troops help each other out in a group bonus, the Poison, the Furies and Grim Raiders, charge, wait and flank

I like Academy too but that is just becuase of Wizards

I see. That is totally anti-topic though. You're supposed to say what is your least favorite town. ;)

My least favorite is probably the Academy actually...no real town balance, IMO. If only Nival would balance the artifacts then perhaps they would climb up a few levels on my "like" ladder. As of now, artifacts are a resource pit.

My least favorite town is Sylvan. I just cannot seem to identify with the heroes or the units, except for the Sprites, which are pretty cool. Also, I find the muscular female heroes in the hero animations to be another indication of a rushed game development cycle. A rose by another name...

For me first was Dungeon, but now i'm quite fond of them.

I think Academy is least favorite because of their Stone Gargoyle (couldnt they make the damn thing to come Alive when its moving?), Gremlins and the Rakasharasha or w/e they called which look impressive but not too exciting (Nagas all the way!). But i love the Titan though :)

But basically i like to play with all of them :)

The town I play the less with is Heaven - too dull!! Hate humans in fantasy games.
Hate playing with fortress too - ugly creature design, slow and too defensive for my taste.
And sylvan is not one of my favourites also !! Don't see myself as a tree-hugger

Here is a summery of towns From Like to Dislike...

1: Haven: Their training give's you a great advantage (like first month Utopia) and their Archangels are the best Just let your paladins fight and support with Angels and Inquisitors :D

2: Dungeon: High Powered rase. All their Units have awesome abilities (like poisen, Hit-and-return,immunity magic,...) If you can play with them then their awesome.

3:Necropolis: In a really short time having a Legion of Skeleton archers and then Phantom forces :-D Pure ownage

4: Sylvan: Just stand and wait until your archers kill the enemy. Its fun to play with them but it makes the gameplay very lame...

5: Fortress: Nice Defence and Rune magic and thats all...

6:Inferno: Nope can't play with them, hate them. Gating is nice but thats everything. Their Devil sucks... They just have to be a little bit faster.

7:Academy: Lol who invented those wizards they could be nice but they aren't. Stupid 3 archers. Titans are not powerfull enough (easily owned with necro (skeleton archers), Haven (paladins), ....) I like magic but I don't like Acadamy, sorry fot their fans...

You may use your worst adjectives to define my likings.

But there is no such a thing as a faction I less like to play.

Its like making you pick your 7 favorite dishes and then asking you which one of those do you like less.

Possible for some... not for me.

The town I least like to play is Fortress. Defensive and yet so vulnerable.

I just cant get used to Inferno, man I love the creatures but they fall like flies! One reason is that there is a lack of low level shooters. Another is that right now I suffer heavy losses just because I want to go straight for the devils..it seems succubies are a must.

Well I think that once u get mass slow and mass confusion inferno starts to be unstoppable. Only pesky undeads can deal with them:-/
Also familiars can drain all the mana if there are enough of them so opponent can't dispell those buffs.

Totally agree with you there..I really enjoy playing every different faction with its stengths and weaknesses equally.

But if I HAD to choose my least favorite, it'd have to be Academy. Nothing big, but I'm really not a fan of the gargoyle...

If you read whats going on these forums you will be impressed with the amount of critics on Ubisoft and Nival. Some damn well deserved, some rash and unreasonable.

But if there is something I cannot criticize about the developers are the town concepts. They managed to bring huge personality to each faction. It is unbelievable how different it feels playing with each one (which is why I enjoy experiencing them all).

If you see the polls on the subject: "which town do you like the most", you will be impressed with how nicely divided it looks. And this, for the developers feels like pure success.

If the results would have shown a 40% fan-preference over a single faction, this would have been and indirect sign that the other towns are less attractive and/or enjoyable.

I think thats one of the producers biggest victories, and a respectful continuation of the main Heroes legacy, which is fun trough multiplicity.

Agree with you. If theres a thing Nival have done a great job with its the towns looks and atmospher and their diverse personalities.
