In-Game Skill Wheel Mod

Unread postby Angelspit » 17 Apr 2007, 20:32

Over at <a href="/http://elrath.com/forums/index.php?s=5b ... >Elrath</a> is a mod that allows you to add Aurelain's famous <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/520">Skill Wheel</a> to the Heroes V game interface. The Wheel is then accessible via a <a href="/http://elrath.com/forums/index.php?act= ... 83">button on the hero dialog</a>. No need to alt-tab out of the game or to hunt for those clumsy prinouts anymore. Please note that the mod requires the Hammers of Fate expansion.

<a href="/http://elrath.com/forums/index.php?s=5b ... ">Download the Skill Wheel mod from Elrath</a>.

If you would like to take a look at the original page visit this link:

I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

Wow! Now this is a perfect piece of modding. It's a pity I lost interest in H5, I would've tried it. ;)

WoW! im amazed that they were able to make it with the limitations on this game, now they need to add it to the upgrade menu so you can look at it before you choose your upgrade.

(Great) News: the mod does not require HoF! It works flawlessly with the standard game.

My question: are there any changes in skill trees from standard to HoF?

Many thanks to Aurelain and Azard for making such a huge addition possible!

The entry at Elrath specifically mentions Hammers of Fate and version 2.1. Maybe he didn't test it with the basic game. I'll change the news item then.

Works very well. As Smith_BD says it would be nice to have it on the skill choice box, but it's still an improvement. To answer the gryphon, the necromancer skills are a little different (namely, mark of the necromancer) but otherwise everything else is the same. I believe that patch 1.5 should bring the games up to the same skill path.

Very nice. :)

One more example of how fan made content can make the game better. Power to the players! :D

GOW
Frodo: "I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
