Last night was pretty bad. I was planning to work on an update but couldn't do anything.

I think the extra freedom the new host gives us more than compensate for the occasional downtime. I just couldn't stand the old host anymore: at least the new one is honest and open about what they are doing.

It's a drag when I can't connect because of downtime, but I agree with Angelspit here that it's a fair trade-off.

Perhaps in time our esteemed admin could get his own server and put the thing at home, dedicating a whole server to CH and nothing else...?

Nothing of that category to report (thankfully), but I have something a bit...weirder.

I click on some of the threads and I get this message:

@winter: Yeah, that happened before as well. Try opening the second-to-last page of the thread instead.

I am not sure what the problem is, but the last couple of days page load times have been horrendous.

I understand but at least it'll keep everyone out of the dark on what's causing the problem, and will allow you to find out when the issue is officially resolved so that you don't constantly have to hit the refresh button.

Why? Why you should do that? Fairly reading ch status, in the time of unordinary condition is only thing to save your mind. Don't underestimate your needs of sanity. :tonguehands:

Checking configuration ... ok
Checking building enviroment ... sane
Checking gcc ... found.
So I think I proved you wrong.

Now back ontopic ... I was delaying my final resolution for some time. But finally... I seems to be feeling better with the new host. More reliable - that is it. (Roughly same performance though.)

Yes, occasional problems, though they are at least short-lived.
