im not trying to say HOMM should rip off all other games all the time(as it did with that now-ugly-and-completely-unrealistic Druid :( ), but
Image
is from Battle for Wesnoth and imho it looks great. A living tree doesnt have to own 2 legs, a single trunk is much better. it could use its roots for moving animation.

So far this has been enlightening and enjoyable, hope more get in on this soon :). Wonder if continuing to 2nd favorite (and beyond) would be interesting or not...

My favourite creature is the naga queen (H3, Tower, Tier 6) Great looks with th red/black snake body and 6 arms, gr8 damage and no retaliation.
Tower is my favourite town (always liked wizards and magic)
Lately I discovered a new found love in the form of the fortress town from h3. they just make interesting playing experience. my favourite from this town is ofcourse the mighty gorgon

No wonder he's so mad … I'd be mad too if someone made a stump outta me. :-D

Now that I got the Dendroid/Treant stuff out of my system, I'm gonna cast another vote for one of my all time favorite creatures in the entire Heroes of Might & Magic Universe:

He's big, he's bulky, he's greenish, he's hulky, he shoots mud balls at you not once, but twice and he's so ugly, he's cute … you guessed it the Mighty Gargantuan!

Favorite creature? Hmm...well, it was definitely a euphoric feeling to finally get Archangels in H3. So I say Archangels. :D

I loved Titans from HoMM II. Because people were always saying that black dragon is stronger, but I'm not so sure...

Hail the Mighty Titans!!! :hoo:

The blackies ARE stronger than the titans. Not exactly by leaps and bounds, but nonetheless.

I wonder how a HoMM IV battle between 2 titans and 1 black dragon (since that's their weekly growth) might turn out, though...

All-time favorite? Probably the vampire from Heroes 2--best attack sound EVAR ("Blah!"). Also love the titan from Heroes 2. Favorite from Heroes 3 has to be the black/death knight, followed by the archdevil. Evil's just cooler, esp. in Heroes 3.

Gargoyles in H2. 2nd lvl creature, lightning fast, good defense with flying? Ridiculous. They were the cornerstone of your early army of centaurs, goyles, and griffens. They were still great when you had Black Dragons.

And they messed elves/hobbits up something fierce, or atleast stopped them from hitting your shooters.

In Heroes 4, well, I haven't even personally used each creature. Demons, and Paladins are sick. But I love Nightmares and water elementals the most.

I must go with the Pixie. Affordable, prolific, dangerous -- and cute.
Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.
