Got also 19, when you count neutrals also and if you consider "undead" a special (which it is). Not quite sure, which neutrals were in RoE and which came later.

EDIT: ok, actually counted 20. That will be my guess for now.

pikeman, halberdier, svordsman, gnoll, gnoll marauder, gorgon, imp, hell hound, demon, horned demon, pit friend, centaur, centaur captain, goblin, hobgoblin, wolf rider, ogre, gremlin, peasant, boar

Well I could also post all I found, and let anybody who knew which was in RoE and which was not get the right answer. What fun is spammin answers or such though? :). I think not all I found was in RoE, and that is why 19 is not correct.

I don't remember if the neutral creatures (peasant and boars) was introduced in expansion back, or was there from RoE.

If they were in RoE I agree with 20.

@TT: Why did you exclude the Imp??

Pikeman and halberdiers have a special ability, they are immune to the jousting ability.

Damn... did H3 imps fly? They didn't, did they.

Peasants and Boars were expansion creatures, only neutrals in RoE are Elementals and Golems.

I guess without the pikemen/halebardiers and with the imp in that would make 16.

In what way do H4 battles have more ways to be resolved then in the other games?

you can magically retreat from them with Town Gate. also, you can technically-win-the-battle-but-immidiately-after-battle-lose-the-war when your must-survive hero dies in the battle.

and it was me, a h4 hater, who answered that :disagree:

Can you read the original post first? You have to answer previous question right and then you get the right to ask a new one. Right now you have to answer the question about dimension door.

I have tried that cursed ground thing, I managed to DD myself into the cursed area, that was guarded by a border quard which tent I hadnt visited yet. Cant really come up with anything other than that and that one has Caidal Cain already said.

Hmm...
  • Heroes can fight in a battle.
There are obstacle penalties (beside the wall penalty existent since 3).
The range penalty can be steeper (units can do 1/16 with obstacles in the way and Short Range).
Creatures can fight against creatures (without a hero).
I don't know what else to say :).

Yes it is. It's possible in all games, since there are damage spells with multiple targets.

Ahem: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drawl
A drawl is a perceived feature of some varieties of spoken English, and generally indicates longer vowel sounds and/or diphthongs. Varieties of English which are said to feature pronounced drawls include Southern American English and Australian English, especially Broad Australian English.
