well mine were about $AUS1000, or about 500 euros, but even if we go for my cheapo one, at about $AUS80 it's still steel! :D

I have a daisho .... the long and the short

they are a matched set, Katana and Wakizashi, was tempted to get a Tanto as well, but decided it was superfluous

the katana is longer then the wakizashi, and they are technically different swords, a wiki stub is here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daish%C5%8D
