Which M&M do you like best?

Unread postby JonahFalcon » 20 Jan 2006, 01:38

I actually played the first M&M when it first came out... and at the time, it was HUMONGOUS in scope (map size). Only my cousin got far in it. It was sort of like The Bard's Tale on Steroids.

Never played the other M&M.

Otherwise, I like the blue M&M's the best. :-D

I'd say Xeen (4 and 5) is my favorite, followed by VI or II.

Of course its Xeen (#4). I was to young to play it when it first came out but once I finished #6 I found the clouds of Xeen and went right to it. Its a classic and I encourage anyone to play it.

Since MM8 was the first I played, it's my favorite. Of course, it's also the only one I've played extensively- I've finished 7 and 9 once each, but neither was as good- 7 was too old when I got around to it, and MM9 was MM9...

MM2 is my favourite, it was the first one I played. I bought the original after it and it was nowhere near as good. For it's time MM2 was just out of this world. I'm still playing it.

I used to like MM5 next but after playing them all again I think I like MM6 second best now. The changes made and the sheer size of it are just too much to ignoire.

Seven Forever. The only one I've seen where my choices made a significant difference.

Either VII or VIII. I liked the plot for MMVIII (it introduced me to Armageddon’s Blade), but VII is longer and has more replayablity. VI wasn’t bad either. I tried playing both XEEN games on an older computer so I wouldn’t have to mess with it, but after (veeery slooowly) beating IV and getting partway through V it died, and I still haven’t gotten them on my current comp. Stupid Windows.

Might & Magic VI is still my favorite. Maybe because it was my very first M&M RPG. Next I like M&M VII & then M&M VIII. Those are the only ones I still play, even after all this time. :-D

I've only played XEEN and 7, and I think I like XEEN best. I agree with Bandobras that 7 is the one where your choices make the story change and that's really cool, but there was just something I liked about the older ones.

The MnM 6+7+8 are the best crpgs I ever played!! 7 is my favorite thought
because 6 has these stupids portraits and in 8 u create only 1 chara.
The older MnM games I haven't played them(i tried, but the damn windows
xp din't let me).9 was simple awful...

No one else has nominated it, but I'll pipe in here as I always do and say that III was my fave. The mix of puzzles, battles, long forest adventures and insane alien technology blew me away at the time (I was like 6, I'll admit I couldn't finish the game... pre internet walkthrough days :) ) and I've repeated the game every few years since then when I forget the details.

M&M 2 I say, followed by 7, 8, 6 and 9, 3-5 I haven't played through, only started them, and M&M1 I haven't even seen, nor King's Bounty.

I finally completed MM6  (just few minutes ago, thanks for the help of the first topic)! ;) And it´s my favourite! I´ll have to admit that I´ve played (and got through) only it and MM8 so not much of scale.. I didn´t like the idea at all of creating only one character in MM8, but the storyline was excellent, better than in MM6..

7 for me. Though I played 6 first, it was 7 that really got me in.

It's a toss-up between VI and VII, but I would have to go with VII. I simply had the most fun playing it, giving up all my spare time (and most of my night's rests ;)) to finish it.

MM VI is the best for me. It's long, has the biggest and most original dungeons and nice quests. VII is very good as well, but MM VIII is too short to reach their level.

6 and 7. 7 a little more than 6, though. And in third, comes 2.

MMIII

This game represents Might and Magic like Heroes2 reps. Homm for me.
I urge everyone who thinks sci-fi is a no-no to play this game.

Heck, play all MM games :-D

6 = such a big difference compared to 5, SO much better..

but still 7 is my no. 1, since the things u do can really change things in the game (instead of just kill entire town, donate some money and ure a god again ~~)

anyway 7 -> best plot, best game :>

I go for MM V1, in my opinion most fun, maybe also because it was some leap from Xeen to it.
I loved both Xeen so they have to come second and I am old enough to have played MM1 on Sega, which hooked me on the serie, so it have to have a medal too, when you take time aspect into count:)
