Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a laptop. I can afford only less than 1000 euros and I've found two:
either ASUS A6M Q024 with Ge Force Go 6100 turion x2 1,66 15,4" (1280x800) 80 gb hdd
or LG V1 WPLBY with Radeon x200 core 2 duo 1,66 15" (1024x756) 80 gb hdd
In both cases I will have to buy additionl ram to have 1gb
I don't need super extra max settings I just want to run HoMM without laggs.
As Ubi's site mentionss they don't guarantee HoMM5 to run on laptops, I'm wondering what laptop configurations do you use?
Cheers

Hi there.
I've one that runs Heroes like a charm
Acer Aspire 1694 WLMI
2.0 Intel Pentium M with 2 Ghz Cache
ATI mobility Radeon X700 with 256 separate MB
1 GB ram
15.4 Crystal Brite display
The rig is outdated meanwhile. My wife got one a couple of months ago for 999 €, so it should be possible.
I think that you may try your luck with a Samsung rig as well.

Thank's guys,
one thing is I don't want such a big screen as 17"
the other is that I've found 14" joybook a bit more expensive than I assumed, but with better characteristics and I think I'll stick to that one, because it seems even to be worth spending more money on better hardware that will probably serve me some time longer

I have a Dell Inspiron 9100 with Windows XP profwessional. It has a 15.4 inch screen, 2.8 GHZ Pentium processor, 1280 megs of physical memory, an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 with 64 megs of memory.
Both Heroes 5 and HOF seem to run well.
I would recommend you buy the best laptop you can afford, though.
I could not get the Dark Messiah demo to work, however, so I didn't bother to try the game itself.
Sorry to be late, but I hope it helps.
