I think the tank picture was submitted as a POTD at least five times. So here is another one of those new "mechanics" introduced in Hammers of Fate. Thanks evilp.

I would bet on a submarine. Possibly a nuclear one and as the patriarch of nagas.

Nival should stop putting out of context things in a fantasy game. They are not funny, not intersesting, and not needed. At least when new world computing would put real life references in their might and magic games they were humourous. Putting tanks and planes, is not.

It is an easter egg. And probably just something that is used to test the game mechanics.

game mechanics?? the plane is in an unused, unaccessable corner of the map, that can only be viewed by opening the map in the editor.

all this does is show how serious nival takes this game to put something so completly out of context and has nothing to do with game mechanics.

and easter eggs usuallly are something fun. This is not.

Yeah, tanks and busted planes are a necesity for testing.

Now if maybe they'd enlighten us to why we might find it less boring.

i think its great. i mean, its not like they wasted so much time on it. a non-working model like that might take a crew of i dont know how many guys maybe an hour to make.

Actually there is a cartographer on this map so you can see the plane without looking in the editor :p

Anyone else find it ironic that it isn't until they dump the sci-fi aspect that machines find their way into Heroes? ^W^

Who knows, with enough time maybe someone'll make a Forge Town mod... :D

All right, glad to hear Nival is wasting more time on things that HoMM doesn't need instead of improving things that suck that HoMM does need. What a surprise.

Yep, they lost so much time when their artists were sleeping and doing nothing.

Still, I don't see whats the problem with the plane.

Nope, no time wasted. You must see under cover, they did model in theirs spare time or get it from some other game and convert it here. Maybe they even didn't convert it. Just few minutes for some amusement and testing. Yep. If they would did complete sci-fi faction and never used it or used it when it didn't fit, then it would be time lose. ;)
