I don't understand why someone wouldn't want a self-destructive faction that spreads chaos all over the battlefield

The resemblance is obvious. Or not.

Because they are creating bosses some 5 months before the game release..?

I should note that the champion does not actually split, it can change forms.

I kinda liked old dive myself but then griffins had 16 initiative and could have a lot of actions with morale.

And bosses aren't exactly part of balance but since they'll be frequently encountered in campaigns..

Amen to that.

Some more revelations,

- Ghosts are no longer incorporeal, at least in H5 way.

- There will be 10 artifact sets and battlefield tiles, which will give bonuses to troops standing on them.

Come on, a necromancer with demon forces? They are sworn enemies.

@Matt Creeping is dealing with neutrals for xp and goodies :) @Zenofex It would be ideal but H5 was built with inherently flawed balance. Do you want to take down sylvan with dungeon week 7? Not gonna happen, very rare. Dwarves? Even worse. Beyond week 5 summoning/destructive/machines are relatively...

Still Pavel was not killed by necro forces, it looks like Sveltana got there afterwards.

The heart of the griffin was created from Nikolai's father's soul some 20 years before H5 so that's probably out. The Sveltana conjecture could very well hold true though I do not remember her actually hating her brother or something. From the little things they mentioned about her anyway.

Just figured I should clarify, you never know. And information is not so much vague as it is nonexistent  Too small doses, too rare.. And it's no marginal scenario nor am I talking small maps. Most of the more balanced maps were large and week 4 was still the norm, underground or not. It's b...

You'll have to keep in mind that I do not work for ubi neither do I have access to damage formulas, I only have an idea of what they are doing. Likewise I'm not ubi's lawyer to defend their choices so if you are not convinced it's not my place to change your mind. I am only posting my personal thoug...

Depends how you look at it. You still build town, hire creatures, cast spells, creep, capture mines/dwellings so H6 is not so different in essence. The basic idea was that.. H5 was meant to be "safe", to demonstrate that Ubisoft and Nival could provide a solid, classic HOMM experience. H6 ...

Not quite, you can spend your talents to learn a spell or advance its native school but not keep adding your skill points into it till it's so broken that it's not funny. If memory serves that's one skill point per level so like it's always been except you can choose. Also I think people misundersta...

There are no bone dragons and not all are griffins. Though it's hard to tell even in bigger resolution, the artwork is vague.

Oh please, the campaign facts are that ie Markal did this and that, not with what army. That's purely restricted by H5 gameplay and features.

From facebook: Ghouls are ravenous spirits of the dead, bound by magic in lifeless corpses. Ghouls are tormented beings, filled with hatred for the living. Powerful Necromancers can control them, but otherwise they are wild and destructive. Transformation into a ghoul is used as the ultimate punishm...
