Thanks Pol, Irfan is really good.

I played a little bit using the balance files, but didn't really notice too much difference...

Also, is there any place to get the portraits for the default homm3 heroes? I was thinking about switching the portraits of a few heroes...

The heroes portraits are nice, but is there any way to preview what the portrait will look like before actually assigning them to a specific faction? I don't have any program that can view pcx files. Also, in the "balance" zip folder, there are many different text documents. Do I simply extract thes...

Wow, I never knew about this place! I've looked in the "files" section and mostly found a bunch of maps. Towards the bottom, there were some stuff about hero portraits, and also a "balance" file, but I'm not really sure what changes it makes. I was also wondering if I should back-up any files before...

[quote="Pol"];) Glad to meet you, then.. did you ever see Royo? He is a strange chap, really... (I had seen one of his photos) Mostly, it's supposed to be WoG patch, Nice to meet you too. Don't think I've ever seen Royo, but it wouldn't surprise me if he looked "strange." Many geniuses ten...

Voted H5(3do). I think H1 and H5 are the best because they look the most majestic; the way a phoenix should look. I also like the flame effect on H3, but the design itself isn't as good as the two I mentioned before. I don't have a problem with most of ubi's artwork designs, but I really would have ...

Charity, hmm... , it can be I will consider her to be back ;) - rest of heroes are from various games and authors, Disciples and Luis Royo. Aren't Luis Royo's artwork amazing? I've never met anyone who has seen his work until now. He's one of the best fantasy artist who's work I've seen. Also, when...

I didn't recognize some of the heroes on your image, so I voted "everywhere" because they all look nice. Unfortunately, I didn't see "Charity" from H2. She was my favorite necromancer...

But the formula for the creature bonus would make a lot more sense if it actually did what the game desription said. To me, it feels like non-creature specialist benefit much more with their ability because it is linear progression of their level-up. Crag Hack will always get about a 1% increase to ...

This is sort of unrelated, but is anything going to be done to fix the problem with creature specialist bonus of heroes? I've detailed the problem in a different thread. The way it is now makes it almost useless to choose a creauture specialist because of the non-linear bonus. By the way, what happe...

I wasn't complaining about how fast the patch would be released. I was just wondering why no one has replied here for so long. I thought it was just being ignored.

I don't know either how exactly it works, but explanation for creatures specialization not increasing linear is quite simple: it would be way overpowered, especially on big maps. But in H5, you could say the same thing. Giving a bonus to succubus every 2 levels is even more overpowered compared to ...

H3 Hero Creature Specialists

Is it just me, or is there something completely dysfunctional with creature specialties for might heroes? The description doesn't do what it says it's supposed to. For example, Fiona is supposed to give cerberi 1 attack and defense every 3 level ups. It works fine up to level 6, but then it's capped...

Current list: http://gim.vup.hr/~dperko/patchheroes3.txt EDIT: For now, ill discard the creature changes and concentrate on spells only. :) I really like your ideas for the spell patch so far. It makes much needed chang...
