Yes Sands of Time was easy but that is not why I remember it. I got annoyed in Warrior Within when you needed perfect timing to win the boss fights. I did it but it wasn't really fun.

You act as if people must get married...must have children...must claim great responsibilities and be crushed by them or something.

What are you trying to do that you can't accomplish if you do those things?

I think I'd do better with some specific examples than these generalities.

Oh yeah. Usually the mapmaker has already banned it. Or on an ubi map like trefoil it doesn't have an impact.

That is what I do. I usually agree no mentoring, no divine vengeance. Other than that anything goes.

Technically it may not be cheating but it can definitely kill your fun. Imagine you have spent ten hours creeping, carefully picking skills against what you think your opponents main hero might have, and then in one turn you are hit with 4 heroes (with 7 single level 1's) who have a strong armageddo...

Just keep playing and you will improve. Yes the manual can help, but I find it more useful reading tips on the forums.
