Re: Might and Magic mods, projects and stuff (updated)
The screens and videos look very appealing. Replacing every sound and graphic is, indeed, likely to damage the feeling. Put a donate link on your homepage and promote your site in MM communities? Considering their low activity, not likely to get enough attention though... If i only would have a few ...

Re: MM7 -- Revised Opinion On GM Body Magic
So, at master level protection from magic does not give you immunity, but still reduces the chances for eradication sufficiently? Looking at your party, did you take the titans in melee? Many fights against late game monsters are optional, but from my experience archers with real time flying outdoor...

Re: Unleashing the Bloodthirsty Walk through
Sorry, I do not know a walkthrough for it. There is a long thread dedicated to this map at HC http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=22785 and if you run into a specific problem you may ask it also here. Youtube seems to have some videos, but dunno if they are any good.

Re: Heroes III - Empire of The World II strange problem
Spawns from "month of x monster" are known to potentially ruin certain maps where a narrow landingzone is required for progress and the spawn can appear in a nearby square. If you can continue in any other way, you may try (I do not know the specific map that well), but most likely you nee...

Re: [MM7] Is perma-zombie a bug, or an intended feature?
What if the "perma- zombie" dies, is ressurected in Deiya as a zombie, and thereafter visits a good temple? Should it not fix all the former zombifications? EDIT: ah just read some older discussion suggesting that the link to portraits may become misdirecting, and in this case indeed, the ...

Monolith in Silver Cove, where indeed one needed to touch rocks and trees in order to progress."Look to nature where civilization fails- the rocks and trees, the sky and earth all hold a power greater than man."

Re: Has anyone really solved the Temple of Baa puzzle in MM6?
Although incorrect, my initial understanding of this "winds" and "seasons" and "only at the end" was that the doors can only be opened after completing the rest of the dungeon or even later in the game. With this not being the case, I simply bet on the value of the sign...

Re: MMX Legacy expansion or MMXI?
I have a question related to MMX replayability. What has been said before about its problems I fully agree with, and for myself the restrictions/linearity in the beginning of the game were the worst. My question is that has anybody or does anyone know somebody who has completed solo MMX? I recall tr...

Just confirming: they do have random starting towns with "generate hero" option activated and they cannot choose hero at start?

Re: [H3] Any tips for South of Hell at 200%
After having (re)played and completed the map, I could recommend rampart as starting town (possibly with Mephala). Centaurs and elves should give you one or two towns in Hell by the end of week 3 without much trouble.

Re: [H3] Any tips for South of Hell at 200%
A few thoughts: Hell has more towns than you, so the faster you strike the easier it is. I'd say week 4 or 5 is probably latest to venture into its territory and try to grab some towns. Do not be afraid of losing towns or give up some territory. You need to win the war not every battle. You may need...

Re: There is a cap on the Eeofol wishing well
I wonder if the cap was stealthily added by Grayface, or was it in the game since day one? Kinda weird that the cap was this high anyway - would have made more sense to make it a bit lower, so that the well can be more of a hard-earned and deserved, fair reward and less of an immersion-breaking exp...

Re: The Most Ridiculous Announcement Ever by cjlee
Thanks to spending thousands of hours on older versions of Heroes games, I have totally sworn off H3 and H5. You are sworn off of HotA and H5.5? wow! As great as these games were, we really need to step into the future. And the future is one in which triple 1920x1080 monitor setups are common. No o...

Re: Randomness - vol. IV
Well, I believe most teams have already long ago realized that 50% of them will be sick, 25% will be robbed and 5% eaten by cannibals in Rio :p A few leaking pipes... who cares? In my personal opinion, the games need a total reformat. If a quality sport event is wanted, it cannot have the "quan...

Re: Heroes 3 Unit effectiveness by Level comparison
the Arch Devils however are very accesible on the battlefield and thus are very useful, ... Agree, vs AI (particularly those epic singleplayer maps with multiple huge battles) or "environment" in multiplayer, archdevils are probably the best lvl 7 units. Archangels and titans compete, but...

Re: [H2 & H1] Origins of the cheat codes
Nice find! I have never thought why these numbers were chosen for codes. Indeed, maybe some of them have an interesting backstory, but it probably takes an nwcer to enlighten us. The MM games are full of references to TV shows etc. and maybe the same have the origins of the codes (as also the case w...
