I can only assume that this feature is going to be added in later. I cannot fathom why they would not include it in the game. I mean, how much could it slow down the game anyways? How could it be such a huge deal anyways, it is not as though Chess needs to be sped up or anything like that. TBS seem ...

Heroes V is Almost Here! ... Or is it?

Let's just hope that the game is not crap when it launches. Just because it's delayed doesn't mean that some sort of divine intervention occured, they still have to make a quality title.

BTW, good read.

Re: Heroes V Has Been Saved

OK, I relent - it seems that the NSA worked, but my concern was more about how that will influence our relationship with Ubisoft and Nival. We need to be extra-nice to them now, and help see them through the next few/several months :) They'll get more than that if they release a great game. Heroes ...

Agreed.

However, do we really want anything close to the H4 lauch again? :disagree:

Sorry to dissapoint you guys, but I'm currently not planning on playing any heroes game. It's simply not worth my time. Sample saves (day 1 - day 7) for what I call playing heroes 3 of some level. http://www.math.bme.hu/~csarmasz/heroes When you can do better than that everytime you try and play, t...

Re: Heroes V Impressions: Post yours here

*chuckle* This bodes not well. The more I hear about H 3.5, the more apprehensive I am. Praytell, what is the significance of placing your armies on the tactical map, since you cannot hide your more vulnerable stacks from shooters and spell casters? Indeed, doesn't this make shooters and spellcaste...

Re: News Supression Pact

I think this is too harsh. You guys should understand that if Ubisoft did not buy the Heroes franchise, then we would all be lounging around making new maps for H4 or H3. You guys should be happy for that the Heroes game will continue and remember that a game will never be perfect. Yet I also get t...

Props to you Angelspit, and for that matter the whole HOMMunity. I tried playing the main game again on the beta.

*Ugh*

Lets hope for some serious work for when the game is actually released.

I'm sorry, but I'm not talking about the combat Ai. They said that Ai would have been disabled in the beta, but it's not and you CAN have computer players in the game, and they really suck.. as I said.. playing against my dog would be more challenging... so as you see.. there's reason to be worried...

Re: Heroes V Impressions: Post yours here

On the other hand, in my latest game, 92 Horned Demons took out 5 Balors. I'd call that a pretty good trade. (Speaking of lucky Meteor Showers, does anybody else find the Balor's spellcasting a tad on the too powerful side?) My imps and familiars were relentlessly slaughtered, but I exepct L1s to d...

Re: Heroes V Impressions: Post yours here

and is nobody bothered by the fact that battling in duel is way faster than in normal play? the lagg seems to be cut out of duel. maybe they wanted us to primarily test duel mode.. I was thinking the same thing... Again, wow, luck is way too good in this game. It seems like it comes a good 50% of t...

Re: Heroes V Impressions: Post yours here

I have a bad feeling this is the old "distract the masses with the pretty shiny things" tactic. Graphics shouldn't be the most important thing in a game but it's the first thing that everyone says about it... Sorry if you didn't understand me. The beta made it so that there were numerous ...

Right now the biggest imbalances that I have noticed, after doing like ten duel rounds( :D ), are luck and Balors. Lucky magic to be precise. If you play as the Warlock, Storm Lord, you can feasibly get a lucky Meteor Shower that cuts through all magical defenses that easily annihilates anything in ...

What has happened to this topic?! Nucleon, how can you seriously claim that it is hard to destroy a ballista. The thing has 250 health for crying out loud! Can you kill 6 Greater Basilisks? If you answered yes then you can beat a ballista. I mean really...this doesn't even warrant discussing any fur...

Heroes V Impressions: Post yours here

I have played one map thus far, more like part of one as I was kicked out. The best thing that I could notice about the game, in the time that I played, were the graphics. Wow, they are very good. I can only hope that the finished product fixes some stuff, like the slowness, but the little touches a...
