If you're worried about making MM8 too easy, I also recommend not using Cauri Blackthorne. Getting a L50 Dark Elf as early as that makes many portions of the game trivial.

It was also one of the first games where I learned to exploit -- using a Sacred Nut when you had your max of 9 would allow you to get 3 more for a total of 11. :)

My biggest problem with the game was trying to figure which town was actually "Medi's Town" so I could follow the directions to the hidden monuments. :)

This is why rogues are so potent in late game, because dmg boost+ reduced recovery rate makes them killing machines. I really wonder why people insist rogue is weak class in late game, they hit as hard as knights. I don't call Rogues weak, but the difference between them and Knights is durability. ...

It's something I learned with the Civ series -- there are people out there who actually *enjoy* excruciating detail and planning their games out on spreadsheets.

I agree that plain size doesn't mean anything, but MM6 wasn't like that. The dungeons were much more rich and unique. On the contrary, MM7's huge dungeons were redundant. In my case, when installing off the disks, it can take up to 10 minutes for the installer to actually start. I'm not sure why that is. How long have you waited before giving up?

I have seen my Monk dodge on the Lincoln. I'm more inclined to regard halved damage as more important; there are spells that cause physical damage, against which AC does nothing. And one of the problems that a lot of games run into is that they design monsters to be able to hit high AC, thus invalid...
