I found it elsewere... It was near the creature generator in the north-middle part of the map... Anyway, I finished it. Sent Godric with the big army to take the garrison, but then a scripted hero attacked the town. I had less than 1 week worth of creatures, but I managet to get a lv5 mage guild, an...

As far as I remember, Saves and Quicksaves are stored different...

How are you entering the save interface, by clicking on the menu or using F6?

Anyway, try to see if your saves show up from the MAIN menu screen.

The Fall of the King - need a suggestion

Im on the final stage of a not too difficult, but enjoyable campaign, played on Heroic settings. Im talking about the final haven scenario. Now, I need a simple, quick, non-spolering suggestion. I freed Elizabeth Captured town After long efforts I managed to find and use the Tear of Asha, and I plan...

That's REALLY weird... you must be living in Bizzaro-World... because that's reverse of what is supposed to happen! Not necesarly. Depends on how it's optimized. I remember that in Demon Stone, a console port, you had to ride in a raft, and if you didn't have the resolution set to the console resol...

I have a old Geforce fx 5200 256 mb, and the game runs very smooth on "Low" with the exception of big maps with lots of water or trees....

As proof of what Im saying, I get incredibly high fps in underground areas

Ok, it seems that raising the resolution gives good effects on performances. Now the maps I couldnt play are playable...still very choppy, but at least playable!!! I raised from 800 X 600 to 1024 X "cant remember", and not only the visual (and the text) improved, but the game runs smoothe...

Let me say that my opinion about the game is changed, and im glad I didnt cancel the pre-order. Im on scenario4 of haven campaign, and despite the total absence of AI (it was all scripted) the game offerent good challenge on Heroic setting. The music...so great....as well a s sound effects. The comb...

I wont worry that much, Im sure that Ubi will optimize the game...

Heroes 4 had a memory leak too, and it was fixed...it will be the same with homm5.

@Wolfshanze This is a turn based strategy,so its graphics shouldnt be its primary concern. It should be able to run smoothly on low end computers(though without eye candy). And our money problems actually are ubisofts concern, since we wont buy a game we cannot play. You CH veterans have a much greate...

3. If you use the same view and graphical settings as you did in the demo then you're right, it should play equally good on the same map. But I think you've been hussled  In fact this is driving me nuts...I based my pre-order on the demo feedback on my machine. Afterall, there's only just 1...

I can confirm that the choppiness is not relevant to the zooming level... (my video card is a) GeforceFX 5200 256mb I hate to tell you Romanov77, but the GeForceFX 5200 256MB is NOT a gamer's video card. It's the LOWEST-END card of a rather BAD "FX" line from NVidia. The FX 5200 was desig...

I can confirm that the chppiness is not relevant to the zooming level, since it remains the same (only increase if I MAX zoom out)

This means that something must be done...maybe on trees..

Just a guess - I think the choppiness is more severe in "green" maps. Underground runs fine and desert runs decent, so I'm blaming the trees. Khelavaster Yeah, I noticed...underground and desert is fine! Also, some of the maps with trees runs fine too....others are just too choppy. The ch...

My quick review

I already posted this on the official site. I just got the game, so let me do a quick breakdown after I played a couple of hours First, the bad sides: 1) As many already confirmed me, the game on some maps runs choppy. I have a p4 1800 mhz, 1024 RAM and a GeforceFX 5200 256mb, and my pc is 100% spyw...
