It's for the game company to avoid these bugs. There are vastly more games than there are graphics cards.

It's not a laptop.

I'm not going to take any chances with my system just because I'm missing out on the art in a game screen.

To me both graphics problems suggest an improperly indexed array. I still think they are one and the same problem.

I have a Radeon card, which means that the town screen shows a black & white checkerboard instead of the town image, but at least I can play the game.

With issues for two different types of graphics cards, the problem must be in the game software.

Yes, the engine.

We have struggled with it with MMTribute from day 1. What is out there is unfinished, too limited, buggy, or a combination of these.

I have come to the conclusion that the only reliable way to proceed is to develop one's own engine.
