Heroes VI Water Dragon
I like the way the skin details look like rippling water... you'd never see this creature staring up at you from just below the surface, ready to attack.

That's pretty cool! I'll bet the moving animation is terrific for this creature. Does anyone other than me get weary of those who do nothing but rag everything posted here, as though they can do better? From everything I've seen thus far, 6 will be the best looking HOMM yet, and I've no doubt play w...

...and yes, I've played the franchise devotedly since the original King's Bounty.
I simply care more about fun and the challenges of play than I ever have about the story line, though I know others can be sticklers for continuity.

Looks fine to me. Just be creative about creature abilities to make play interesting and varied, and I'll be happy. I just hope Heroes VI gives the battlefield itself more of a personality than previous versions... that, combined with creative creature abilities designed to solve various battlefield...

Odd, but I've no particular problem with the new creatures if game play is made interesting by creative creature abilities.
I'm curious what these two can do?

Look pretty cool... I wonder what kind of attack it will have? Triple with poison, perhaps? It's likely to be a hell of a lot more wicked than the lame Bone/Spectral Dragons ever were. Necro always had a weak 7th tier... perhaps this will make up for 1st tier Necro no longer having a ranged attack, ...

Any ideas? Robin Wright Penn maybe?

I think the point is the conotations the names conjure up, despite any specific mythological origin.
But who cares about technicalities... I mean, hey, feasty virgins!
I can't wait to ransack a few Haven towns!

""Why would an insubstantial floating creature be affected by gravity at all?""
More to the point, why would its clothes be UNAFFECTED by gravity?

A glancing blow from sword, mace, or axe by a mounted unit would slide right over that Sentinel's helm, but that Praetorian's helm would catch the force of the blow and give that poor soldier whiplash at the very least. I'd lose the cape, as well... at least on the battlefield. Nonetheless, nice art...

I think it looks great! Beautiful graphics! There are always innovations, so I'm sure we can expect a few again for 6. One thing however: I do wish they would incorporate more battlefield bonus features, such as booster or curse squares, terrain feature penalties or bonuses, obstruction penalties fo...

In the meantime, Elemental:War of Magic will be coming out soon.
Also, Disciples III should finally be available in the U.S. soon.
Both look very promising, and both should provide HOMM fans with adequate diversion until HOMM VI comes along.

Rather, I meant to say I don't think I've gotten many triple coups-de-grace with a normal mage shot... I've gotten plenty of triple hits, but not coups-de grace.

I play this game very often, and the AI truly leaves a lot to be desired... this particular battle was, of course, a very easy win. Still, out of countless games, I don't think I ever got a triple coup-de-grace before. The AI didn't intend to allow this line up. The stack of 3 Rajas suffered bad mor...
