Implosion does physical damage, so that's probably why it's doing worse than Lightning Bolt. Try casting it against High Wizards and Magyars.

Rock Blast you have to know how it reacts to level geometry - MAW briefly (i think accidentally) made it targeted at one point (like Fireball is) and it very quickly became clear just how much power just that one change gives it. I'm playing HoMM3 Complete (via GoG) in Windows 10; is there an equivalent for the Heroes games to the GrayFace patches of MM6-8? Mostly what I want is windowed mode that doesn't care about color depth.

Earth is still an incredibly good offensive school even with the Mass Distortion nerf - all the other spells hit against Physical resistance. And don't underestimate Turn to Stone.

I would like to say that it was overall fun working on this. Expect a number of variants of this in the future - one of the things we did with this was make it double as a framework for future mods to build off of (though we did get carried away with the rebalancing aspect of things).

That's a known issue with the Steal special (it also affects cutpurse-type creatures). We have a workaround in place in the experimental branch at https://www.github.com/raekuul/mm6-skill-emphasis-mod

there seems to be an error in Data Tables/Town Portal.txt - removing that resets the destinations to what they're supposed to be.

I would argue against forcibly downgrading 'too high' masteries on NPC promotions, mostly on the grounds that "the engine does not actually care about illegal mastery levels." Plus if we're going to downgrade "too high" masteries in-engine it might be better to lower the masterie...
