Yeah, I have been pleasantly surprised by how many improvements came between beta 2 and launch.

I would be interested to hear about your computer specs. The game runs silky smooth for me. I have 16GB of RAM and a solid state hard drive. I am sure that helps.

I am on that scenario, too, crislevin. It might be a chase stage where you are not supposed to put down roots but instead move across the map. Read your quest text; it sounds like you might be on the run.

Edited to add that roughly 1/3 downloaded in the last five minutes.

Well, I preloaded in Uplay already. But I will not be home from work for another 7 hours to load the patch.

Loving the maps in this thread. To this day, I have scads of maps for games I don't even play anymore. It's always sparked my imagination to study a games maps and think about the lore. I look forward to the Lost Tales of Axeoth.

My thought process... Do I play a faction I don't really like first to get it out of the way? Typically, I do not like to play Haven or Stronghold. With Haven, I get tired of this faction being given so much spotlight time. It seems everything revolves around them somehow, and the other factions are...

Absolutely agree. Many times in beta I had a feeling of excitement I have not felt since Heroes III. It is not perfect, but it is a major move in the right direction for me.

I thought the town screens looked much better in the stream than the concepts presented on the Shadow Council. The moving parts really brought it to life for me.
