As for armors - yeah, many of them could use legging parts, which probably need to be painted from scratch, but with elements of the actual chest armors. Mostly goes for mm7 leathers and such. As alluring as they might seem as player characters, golems are even less sentient than zombies - the epitome of inanimate matter moved by magic. More of a minion than a hero archetype :p

I wouldn't worry too much about Rodril, he's probably just busy. He's definitely for having the remaining equipment repainted at the very least - after all that's probably the biggest remaining obstacle to this being a truly complete merger of the 3 games. As a series in general, HoMM is a spin-off of MM. MM7 came a bit later than HoMM3 and was the second game set on Antagarich, but that doesn't mean one is a spin-off of another in terms of lore validity. I see and this is where I hope this Black Dragon gets applied into, so that the Baby Dragon doesn't grow up into a Jadamean Red Dragon, but rather Enrothian/Antagarich Black Dragon. [ LOL! Even more evidence that nothing is what it seems when comparing Heroes games and MM games much? Well, we actually have one case of a failed Ritual of the Endless Night and that's Lich King Gryphonheart, so could be possible. Question how often would that happen though (the incomplete-decay one). Hmmmm ... I don't think Gryphonheart's ritual failed. I would argue it was actually too successful...

Dunno, liches are skeletons, but that is merely a vessel for movement, mind is what matters. I don't think zombie body would be impossible for them, maybe they could even switch the vessels if they wanted to. Not really converted though. I also always wondered if they could control a live body, but...

Maybe not now, but if it was possible to make Mino knights and dark elf wizards etc etc, I don't think it should be a problem for Rodril to also get mino sorcerers into the game eventually?

Zombie conditions now have drawbacks only, right? Except cool looking you gain nothig. May be you should change it?... That's the point of the zombie condition in mm7 though. You're supposed to avoid it like the plague and not want to have it on your chars. Unlocker aside, it should probably stay t...
