http://rewiki.regengedanken.de/wiki/.ODM This description conflicts a bit with your java ODM loading code. By the way, my decompiled and your java loading functions are almost identical :) Make notes on the page where you find conflicts. I don't have any time to look at it today, but if you note th...

Re: Decoding ODM
http://rewiki.regengedanken.de/wiki/.ODM I have committed a start for the ODM page, covering the top-most data structures. Note that I have concentrated on MM6 ODMs for the last few months, and there's a good chance that my information for MM7 and MM8 is no longer entirely accurate. Actually, there...

mkienenb It wuld be cool then to take a look at headers. I know all the fields of the data structures, but many of them are of unknown use to me. In general, now it looks like this: struct ODM { [...] }; If I knew at least some of vatiables' names, then things would've been much more clearer. Is th...

Decoding ODM
We can do better than variable names. We can tell you exactly how 99% of the data is used. Grayface (Sergey), Angel Death, and I are writing a new MM Level Editor -- this one can actually create levels instead of just decode level formats or view maps, and we have a functional editor for most of out...

thanks but i guess that only TXT files needed. customs on the maps won't be chaged...too hard for me and my helpers =) Thank you very much! The .str files are just txt files containing one sentence fragment per line. Most of the time, it's a noun, but sometimes it's an entire sentence. It should be...

Re: Need help of people who plays TCC (part 2)
I'm making a translated version of TCC to own language but cannot find a time to play it honest to part 2...so cannot have access to files from TCC PArt2 - so cannot translate this part! I want someone who plays Part 2 now to help me! I need only all TXT files from that part (about 25 TXT files). s...

Upgrading TCC Part 1 To Part 2 for GOG Digital MM6 edition
I just upgraded a TCC Part 1 GOG install to TCC Part 2. It crashed after the intro on the intro as soon as the main menu was displayed. This is because the GOG version is expecting to find the CD tracks in mp3 format in the SOUNDS directory, and part of the TCC upgrade process renames the SOUNDS dir...

Thank you all so very much for all your help. It's greatly appreciated. Here's where I am now: After many hours of experiment, trial and error, I have finally, FINALLY found the right combination to get the music running out of the front cd drive jack (sweet!!). Of course, this still leaves the sou...

How CD audio works
Here's a good article and picture showing how audio tracks get physically pulled from the drive to your sound card. http://www.yourdictionary.com/computer/cd-rom-audio-cable And here's another one that add a little more info: reviews.cnet.com/4520-6603_7-5118840-8.html http://www.google.com/url?sa=t...

I have an old CD drive on one of my PCs and it doesn't play the music through the PC speakers - it has a Jack Socket on the front of the CD drive and the music plays from there - only if I have headphones or speakers plugged into that socket, obviously. Yes, that's how it works if you're missing th...

Well, I'll certainly take your word for it but that just makes the whole issue even more confusing given the following: 1. This systems' CD drive plays other commercial music CD's just fine. 2. The MM6 Gameplay CD plays in a regular CD player just fine (excepting that track 1 is silent - is this no...

player estimation / TCC post-mortem.
BJD, I think you're probably underestimating it. For instance, my wife just finished part 1, but you're unlikely to see it included in the statistics since she only posts if she can't figure something out. I sent the mod by CD to at least one person who had no bandwidth for downloading it. And sinc...

I think your original models will probably work now as long as they were correct in 3d max. The standard obj format is counter-clockwise vertex order. The MM engine requires clockwise vertex order. If the engine was consistently written, it would only need normals or the vertex order, but not both, ...

The problem is the vertex order -- apparently the MM engine won't accept both valid orderings, and the default ordering of Blender and 3dMax is the opposite of what it wants. Here's some screenshots of the temple and warp in the game. The temple columns are missing. Not sure why that is yet. Maybe a...
