I only seem to have the annoyance of no CD music on Windows 7 64 bit in Homm2.

huh? i must check my copy then, i never noticed any demos on it. Well, MM3, MM4, MM5, WOX, Inherit the Earth (for some reason on the disc of the full game) , Joe and Mac, Empire Deluxe, a couple of windows 3.1 card games. That's what I have. And on my WOX CDs I have all the same demos except for WOX.

Homm2 is the easiest to find Midi for because it actually had Midi versions of the songs. Homm 1, 3, 4 and 5 all used digital audio only.

Anything that works on Vista at a certain bit type will generally run a lot better in 7.

You said that you use certain themes from your copy of MM6 for Homm (was it 2 or 3?), do you know which track is which? I mean, I've looked at them and I'm not sure which one would be snow, desert, etc.
