Ubisoft has recently stopped supporting Heroes 6, maybe that's the reason.

Eh, I said it before and I suppose I'll say it again: it takes more than one person to weather the storm. While Marzhin's efforts are nice, they alone are not enough to make the games interesting enough to me. The universe reboot to me is and has always been a complete deal-breaker. Couldn't agree ...

I think that "presumably" was either a foreshadowing or a commentary on the events of Might and Magic 8 (depending on when it was written). Let's not forget that it was the Ancients who set Escaton loose upon Enroth. Not a benevolent course of action. Well I wouldnt say that creating weap...

Re: MMX Voting #4

"It's like Archibald would be behind all conflict in NWC games". Even if by that you mean MM games after Xeen, Archibald appeared in a grand total of 3 games out of the 13 games NWC produced between 1995 and 2002. And even though he appeared in MM6, he had nothing to do with the conflict....

I heard the opposite. Heroes 1 wasn't tied to MM. It had familiar names thrown in, but no story ties. It was tied to the universe in Heroes 2 and MM6. Morglin's letters from HoMM1 manual tend to disagree with you. GrayFace is right in that the detailed lore connection (with backstory about the Cros...

Dan Woren - Tarnum (Chronicles) In HoMM4. The narrator of Chronicles is a historian who studied Tarnum's adventures. I'm not entirely sure on this, but he and Tarnum (who narrates mission intros in H4's Glory of Days Past campaign) appears to be voiced by the same actor. That, or their voices sound...

As far as I know, Richard Epcar also voices Sandro, Tarnum, Historian (narrator of Heroes Chronicles) and maybe Gavin Magnus in MM7.

Foolhardy Waywardness. It was just awesome, especially humorous parts.

Armageddon's Blade, Playing With Fire and Unholy Alliance come second, and the rest are a close third.

He says "a supporter of my brother". That means at least any of HoMM2 classes, except probably sorceress or wizard, not just necromancer.

I agree with Avonu that minotaurs in Kriegspire didn't rebel after Roland's capture. Roland clearly states in his letters that the castle was unused since the Succession Wars. But they weren't in castle Kriegspire before Roland's capture. Agar didn't live in that castle until after Roland's capture...

I agree with Avonu that minotaurs in Kriegspire didn't rebel after Roland's capture. Roland clearly states in his letters that the castle was unused since the Succession Wars. Agar obviously created monotaurs some time during (or before) HoMM1, some of them have moved or been moved to other parts of...

IIRC experiments mentioned in MM6 took place during Succesions Wars (HoMM2). There is however no mention that these experiments were result of creating all Minotaurs on Enroth (they have been in HoMM1 after all) or in Jadame. I think it like Agar was trying his ways to create better bull-men then e...

That was definitely on some fan-site, NWC never said something like that. Not to mention that the plotlines weren't messy, and abrupt destruction of Enroth was actually damaging to them, leaving some of them unresolved.

Which of course creates some inconsistency, since minotaurs are already present in HOMM1. Not really, MM6 doesn't specify the time when the experiments started, only mentioning that they were continuing in Kriegspire. They easily could have begun in the time of HoMM1 or even earlier. There are, how...

You're saying this almost as if MM6 is not a good game of which one can have fond memories for reasons other than it being his first :)
