You lose all your REMAINING movement points. So that means, if you TP at the end of turn (i.e. after spending all the movement), you lose nothing. Feels a bit wrong, especially considering other adventure spells (Summon Creatures, Instant Travel) won't work if your movement is spent.

Actually you CAN change the starting skill, but only after you have leveled up a bit so that removing this particular skill won't bring your hero below level 1.

The map Warlords is included with all H5 versions AFAIK, but in HOF it changed a bit compared to what was in H5 original. TotE version is mostly the same as HOF one.

Probably because Ice Bolt can be improved via Cold Death ability to kill an additional creature (and often kill ballistas in 1 hit, which is VERY important), and Lightning spells have no such feature?

AFAIK you cannot use the Memory Mentor to remove skills/abilities that are a prerequisute for other abilities you have. So, to remove the 'junk', you'll have to remove Ultimate ability first.
So the choice is still the same: go for the ultimate or go for a set of good abilities.

The mentor takes your exp and then immediately gives it back, so that you just have to re-level at once (and you can pick different skills this time, of course). You lose nothing (except for money).

Maybe he just had all his units immune to Armageddon? Obsidian Gargoyles are immune (unless hit by a central "falling rock"), and Magnetic Golems are even healed by Destructive magic, Armageddon included.

It's more of a multiplayer thing. In multi, Liches are rarely raised (and raising Dragons in multi is just bad, they cost so much DE for such a mediocre unit). Warlock's Luck triggers when casting Fire Trap (the luck animation plays), but it does nothing. Trap damage doesn't increase.

Only use that I know of is for Might over Magic - if you have that ability, enemy SP in combat is reduced by half of yours. So, if you somehow got 4 Spellpower, the enemy will have 2 Spellpower less.

If you have problems with other games after ToE install, then maybe you are low on disk space? ToE uses more RAM than the previous Heroes V versions, so it needs more space for the swap file. This doesn't explain why the problem temporarily goes away with reinstall though, but still you should check...
