I'd so love to see a new 'helmet' that's modelled on Princess Beatrice's hat.

Get yourself a new copy of Heroes II from Good Old Games. It works great, it's cheap and you don't need the CD in the drive any more.

Released: Heroes II Map Archives
Seconded. Also, this is actually really timely, because now that GOG has released a nicely updated version of Heroes II that runs on modern machines (including Macs) through DOS Box, and doesn't require the CD to be in the drive to play, Heroes II will be getting a lot of new interest. I've returned...

astral76minor: You're mistaken. The Price of Loyalty CD contains *six* tracks that aren't on the original Heroes CD, but they replace six existing tracks. They're six new town themes. Four of them are vocal, two instrumental. The track you're referring to as the win-game track is actually the new mu...

I bought this so I could play it in DOS Box on my Intel Mac (and it works brilliantly, just like a native game, with easy window/full-screen toggle). To answer some questions: 1. The wallpaper is a single image in multiple sizes up to 1920x1200: the Heroes shield on a striking red background. It's a...

Very nice! Many thanks. As a final thing, given that you've done the title pages for Heroes 3 and 5, it'd be nice if you could also do them for Heroes 1, 2 and 4 (Heroes 4 has, I think, different themes for the expansion packs). I've always particularly liked the Heroes 1 and 2 title music. Also, He...

innokenti: I for one would certainly like a high-quality copy of the third Sorceress theme (the Gold edition one), as that's the only one I don't have on CD. Given that it does appear to be authentic, I'd very much like to add it to my collection. I have all the other themes in iTunes, taken off the...

I like what's been done here. However, there are indeed THREE missing Heroes 2 themes at present: the Price of Loyalty themes for the Sorceress, Knight and Necromancer towns. It'd be really nice if those gaps could be filled. (Lotusreaver's link is indeed to the missing PoL Sorceress music.) Also, I...

Heroes V Expansions on a Mac
I can't believe how much irrelevant, bigoted and ill-informed nonsense I've just read here. I thought I'd share a useful tip with my fellow Heroes fans on my favourite Heroes sites, but I really wish I hadn't bothered now. Rest assured that I won't make the same mistake again in the future. By the w...

King´s Bounty: The Legend Patch
@darknessfood: I completely agree with what you say about H3. Although I like H5 very much, H3 is unquestionably the better game of the two, and the game that I still spend the most time with by far. Nevertheless, Darmani is perfectly correct. H5 is essentially a remake of H3, more than anything els...

The Rise and Fall of Sandro
Wonderful! I will undoubtedly enjoy playing this enormously, when I have time, because (a) I've always liked the first three games in the Heroes series best (and I can enjoy IV a lot as well, if the maps is well designed) and (b) Sandro has always been one of my favourite characters in the game. Per...

New H3 & H4 maps
Yes, I too prefer SoD (= H3 Complete) to WoG. WoG's brilliantly clever in terms of what's been achieved, but it doesn't feel quite right to me, and I prefer the authentic game.

Not to mention that H3 is still easily the best game of the series! I've got all the Heroes games, but it's H3 and H2 that I play the most.

Re: Heroes I to III DVD, music etc.
Really, despite its name, the emphasis of this box is strongly on Heroes V, and everything else is a bonus feature. And that's ironic really, given that it isn't even the final release! As I've just read in an interview with Fabrice, they're expecting to continue patching Heroes V beyond the end of...

Re: Heroes I to III DVD, music etc.
1. NO MUSIC AT ALL! :( That's a shame. I would have understood if they just left the music as CD audio tracks instead of MP3 files, but removing it alltogether is as incomprehensible as can be. BTW, could you tell us if King's Bounty comes with the version of Heroes I included (as was the case with...

Heroes I to III DVD, music etc.
Following up on my previous post about the situation regarding copy protection of Heroes I to III and the CD music of Heroes I and II... I've only had time for a brief exploration with Heroes II so far, so what I'm about to say isn't definitive. However, without having checked every last detail, I e...

Heroes I, II and III DVD
One other thing of interest regarding the Heroes Complete Edition. As I said above, I've only just received it this morning, and given that I have work to do, it's going to be a little while before I start installing anything from the box! However, something that does intrigue me, and I look forward...

Hi all, I too have just invested in a copy of this beautiful edition. I was hesitant because it's very expensive, but it seemed too good a chance to miss. As a Mac user, primarily, I only have the Mac version of Heroes V, which doesn't include the expansions, but I shoud be able to play the PC versi...

Question about HoMM Complete Edition
I'm totally confused about the Heroes Complete Edition, and I hope someone here can give me a definitive answer. I've read on Celestial Heavens that the Complete Edition is coming out soon, and that it has an exclusive map included. Fine. But has it already been released? Is it already sold out? Or ...

PhoenixReborn: the Mac version uses the same map files as the PC version, so yes, you can download, install and play third party maps. But obviously only the non-expansion maps work, and the editor isn't available for the Mac either.
