Of course this is the biggest mistake which HoMM 5 have ! The battlefield should be... no no no ! the battlefield MUST be bigger !

I'd like to see a gravity [aura] spell. This spell would make the enemies army slower afoot and a-wing etc and decrease the damage in melee attacks since the weapons are heavier. Also shooters ranges could be decreased somewhat. At higher skill levels this Grav Spell also lightens the Hero using it...

There are definitely fairest creatures which Ubi make. From many years I`m fan necropolis and I would not envisage game without it. If only so further!
