Correct me if I'm wrong, but Grayface's patch allows it, you have to select "Hardware acceleration 3D" in the setup.

Actually, it was more time, I had already done the outer pyramid before. Just the inside took about 3-4 weeks, so I was doing 4-8 hours at night almost every day.
