Definitly you must go to Jedame. Where u got a darkelf and vampire in Enroth? Character unlock mod. I thought I remembered some post where trainers, etc were placed in other continents to help options like this. It would be rather fun if that were true. I was not very fond of MM8, but I like a coup...

Ok so, there is no wiki, etc to help with this. Can someone tell me if/how you can raise dark elf / vampire ability (expert, master, etc) in Enroth / Antagarich?

It has been many years since I visited this project. But lately I have been playing around with the new version just a bit. I remember way back a discussion regarding that when you choose to start in Enroth, the starting quest was not working (letter to Andover & then Wilbur in Castle Ironfist)...

It's working now. The difference is more subtle than the high resolution mod for MM7 & 8. It does take the "pixilated edge" off things a bit. It is a shame that these older games take so much work to redo the textures & there is the limited game memory to deal with.

How are you getting MM9 to run with dgVoodoo2? I added the directory, then ran mm9.exe and dgVoodoo2 does not appear in the video / display driver options in game. I am using the original version.

I think you don't need high res mod for 2.1 version of patch. Just edit fields in mm8.ini: WindowWidth=-1 WindowHeight=720 BorderlessFullscreen=1 Press "f4" to switch to fullscreen. I am not sure what the WindowHeight is supposed to do, but I cannot tell any difference between the default...
