Re: Heroes 4 Map Generator / Utility
For what H4MG stands for? I'm just curious ;) RMG tool can be developed separately without GUI. Someone could do a "View" from MVC model afterwards and merge to H4MG. You can create a tree with n children so that: AND: -c1 -c2 -c3 OR -c4 -c5 Which translates to c1 AND c2 AND c3 AND (c4 OR ...

Re: Heroes 4 Map Generator / Utility
If you have a sort of library which reads data from h4c files I could use it to make rmg simultaneously with your code. And as I can see you have a way to display the map. I think you done a tremendous work :) The conditional could be written as separate tree where every node is operation and every ...

Re: Heroes 4 Map Generator / Utility
You could write a parser for a user scripting: AND, OR, NOT, FALSE, TRUE, () <- function then user could write a conditional like that: IF ( (func1) AND (func2 OR NOT (func3)) ) func1: hero level >= 4 func2 hero colour == blue func3: day >= 10 I could write a random map generator engine. I was doing...

Re: Heroes 4 Map Generator / Utility
For conditionals, it's annoying to have to plan out the logic before you start scripting it. Make one mistake in the ordering and you have to back out and redo it, so I'm trying to think of a way to make that easier and not require things to be scripted in order. I was thinking about making it kind...

Re: Megom Chronicles Project
Glad to hear that! I hope that You will like it. The first choice of the wand is quite essential. Nevertheless you should buff your thieves heroes because you will need them strong in the next maps. Regarding the last Megom Chronicles chapter, I am currently on a stop with this project, due to many ...

The Witcher series
I can't believe that there are not topics about The Witcher 3 game. I am really astonished by every single detail of it. Thanks to Th Witcher, I don't have time for anything else (including mapmaking). I started even read the books, and they are even better. I wonder if it is only appealing to me be...

Re: H4: Is this possible?
Hmmm I checked it and actually IrfanView doesn't read raw files, but it can swap colors in bmp. I don't remember what program I used, maybe gimp maybe other one, but I bet there are free program which read raw files. If you know python or have a hex edit you could easily make a bmp from a raw by add...

Re: Collaborative H4 campaign
I don't think it is democracy fault. I think that everyone is a little bit of tired of thinking and disputing. I thought that people will have it's own ideas about the story, as I do, but it turns out that it isn't that way. Maybe we should back to Christian story ...

@iLive "No, you simply dismissed the discussion that was taking place and asked for a new one. There's a huge difference." I've never dismissed the discussion. I stated my opinion that the story will be cumbersome to invent, because of the lore. But we can quarrel about this for a time of ...

Re: Collaborative H4 campaign
@Karmakeld and rest I will clarify how I see creating story to our campaign which I put in my first post but probably not clear enough: 1. One of us decides to start. Then he thinks out his part of story like the Taro did. He doesn't do any mapmaking now. 2. The second mapmaker improvise his story s...
