it depends on the difficulty you're playing and whether map is rich or poor.
if i see a lot of treasures gold i go for dwellings, if not for economy.

in addition if you play on impossibile the money is very important.
in exchange of scouting you could have estates or logististics, air magic etc...

I think all games in the H1-5 series are fantastic, despite all differences... except ofc for H4, I can't stand the fact the hero could die and you should send some monster in order to load his remaining corpse : )) also, the map fog, stealth skill, the system of skills.

Jolly Roger (it's an impossible mission) on Impossible, 3 genius computers, king of the hill selected there are the most difficult settings.
I had a score of 193 (Dragon) - I'm very happy with it. Thank you!

if you are patient, I'll find a save before the battle and I'll put the battle on youtube... I don't remember her skill anymore but maybe it helps if you try to do it in a similar way.

I think I'll do it in a week maximum.. good luck in the meantime!

on heroic, ver 3.1... very easy mission along the mini-boss fights. I'd give it a 3/5 index. I tried several times with Freyda because the AI PMed the champions... but if you don't use benediction, the AI won't cast it anymore because I think you can cleanse the spell. That becomes a very easy battl...

Another pretty easy mission on heroic... but it took some time because of the battles, i only used the summon phoenix spell and phantom forces on rasha... those were all my troops on the surface, I resurrected them using regeneration while the foes were blinded or puppet mastered.
