Heroes VI Demo Now Available

I've played a bit, and like some others here I'm sold. Whether it's the graphics, music or gameplay I'm not sure, but I definitely have the feeling that "This is Heroes".

I'm short on time these days but I'll definitely pick this up if my schedule frees up.

Heroes VI Main Theme Published

While it doesn't have a catchiness to it, I think it's one of the better themes I've heard.

Heroes VI Delay Q&A

"if there was smth to play(demo, beta), im sure all the comments would've been only constructive ones; keeping the beta for some "experts" to polish it, gives community doubts. Nothing un-usually i think." Wrong, wrong wrong. As a software engineer, I can promise you that they aren't holding back the...

The Lord and the Lady

"And Lady Eileen is damn well preserved for being a mother of about 10 years old kids and being spent most of last 8 years under stressful conditions." Considering that she pretty much just handed her kids to the priests and then became a priestess, I don't think it was that bad. (and sorry for the ...

Gaming Not an Illness

Those are terrible statistics. I haven't read the full report but those look like they were hand-picked and then cleverly worded. And I say this as a believer that games aren't bad for you... but bad science is. # The "big gamer" is almost always a boy, and plays online games 4-5 hours every day; ca...

Middle one is ripped from Oblivion.

Great work guys, would have been very sad if anything got permanently lost. Might be good to have a few users keep backups of the data (just content, not logins or anything).

Crossbowman and boomerang were awesome, very inventive and I'd love to see these as an easter egg in game. :D

I like the griffin and cyclops, centaur looks awesome too.

Generally, I really prefer the H6 look to H5, and my only real gripe is that some of the creatures need more differentiation.

Angelspit & Kalah - you've both been around since I first joined (around the time of H2, I think). Thank you both for everything, and Long Live the Round Table! :)

Best screenshot I've seen yet. The water and waterfalls look fantastic, as do the rocky cliffs. Now I'm pretty excited about the map editor. :)

Game Collection - Marzhin

I think my collection rivals that, but I have lost most of it over time. :( I did even end up with 2 copies of Homm5 (1 bought on release, 1 came a week later for beta testing the game, which I was very appreciative of). As mentioned below, original KB, AM and SoD are missing though I'm not sure wha...

Reputation System Q&A

"That's exactly what Renegade and Paragon are." Not necessarily. The implementation might match that somewhat but in theory, "Renegade" can still be cold and calculating ("Tears"), while Paragon can make swift, emotionally-driven decisions on the spur of the moment ("Blood"). In Mass Effect, Renegad...

Reputation System Q&A

"In other words, Renegade and Paragon points for heroes." Huh? "This is not a Manichean “Good vs Evil” dichotomy but rather a dynamic concept of conflicting perspectives." It seems that this isn't going to be harsh vs fair. Both paths seem to be disconnected from any moral stance, but more about how...

Heroes Medley by Paul Romero

Yeah, H3 was in many ways the pinnacle of the series so far, but Homm2 was my favourite. I loved the wizard campaign where you had to get through all the gateways to that artifact before all of the other players did.
