Also, I'd like it explained to me how we're going to get better utilisation of resources since wood and stone (and crystal to a degree) are going to be flaming useless once the town is built. Was it ever any different? Who knows what else will use them - I wouldn't be surprised to see those turn up...

Or maybe it's how beneficial offensive spells cast on him are? Or, if it also applies to Special Abilities, maybe abilities can be improved through Hero stats that affect Magic Power? That would be pretty cool.

It's obviously taller than any standard screen shot - is anybody still playing on anything that's not 16:9? - but I'm talking about plane height variation in gameplay and implied depth in art design - if there's another game, certainly a TBS game, that does it like this, I haven't seen it.
hellegennes, - you missed my point. Obviously, in that, and other photos (I'm thinking of the one with the teleporter on top of the isoalted cliff peak in the ocean), there are Heroes on different planes. Even if it turns out not to be functional, that guy on the bridge is higher than the undergroun...
I'd say it's groundbreaking in terms of depth - I've never seen a game like this with so much verticality. It gives it a very different feel from the other Heroes games, certainly. I don't see any evidence of post-processing here - there's some clear (and easily removed) aliasing on the dragon's tee...
